Get Healthy Now with Denise Thomson, Bread Recipe

    in Health

Good morning and welcome to Get Healthy Now with Denise Thomson, Founder and CEO of Miclknight. I am an Educator, Speaker, Radio Show Host, Author and a full-circle Health Coach.

    Gift:

    Today’s topic: Recipes

    original bread recipe:

    4 cups flour

    2 eggs

    2 tsp salt

    2 tsp Fleishman’s dry yeast

    2 Tbl sugar

    12 oz lukewarm liquid

    Second version:

    3 cups flour

    ½ cup oats

    ½ cup rye flour

    Third version: same as 2

    6 scoops flax seed meal

    13 Tbl water = 2/3 cup

    Fourth version

    3 cups bread flour

    ½ cup oats

    1/2 cup coconut flour

½ cup ground up avocado seeds

Fifth version: divide into 4, roll out each piece, then sprinkle some cinnamon, brown sugar, raisins and a cut up fruit on flat piece, roll up, put back into pan but without the hook. Do this with all 4 pieces. Push it all down a bit, close lid, then set on 80 min bake.

Due to high blood pressure I have been leaving the salt out. We don’t need a preservative, as we cut the bread into slices when it’s cold and freeze it so it stays fresh. Put it in the toaster when ready to eat and it tastes like fresh out of the oven again!

Let me know how your bread turned out!

    Let Go and Let God

    in Christianity

More than likely, no matter how much electrical wiring we have in our homes, if none of it is connected to the power source the wall outlets and switches are useless.  You probably would think someone was nuts for trying to plug in a toaster oven into the wall knowing there was no power, yet spiritually some of us perform this concept all of the time. When we step back and take a close look at our lives, how much of it are we living in our own strength?  Despite all of the help available from Heaven, how much of our day to day is full of our efforts to make things happen with little thought of the grace of God?  While on this Earth Christ, the smartest of the smart, made it a point to daily seek the power source through prayer concerning the issues of life.  In Matthew 11:28-30 He invites us to do the same.  In so many words, He invites us to let go.  This does not mean to stop running the race, throw in the towel, or give up the good fight.  Rather this means to wave the white flag, to surrender to God fully allowing Him to take the wheel and trust Him to work in and through us even when we arrive at the thorns of life.

Would not it be smart of us to by faith let go and let God? Listen to this broadcast as we discuss the answer.
