You are a wonderful woman and you deserve the best I said while she cried.
THAT MEANS NOTHING she screamed, YOUR BEAUTIFUL, AND IM UGLY. No matter what I will always be fat, ugly and nothing, a nobody. I could lose all the weight, I could be smart, but I am still UGLY! I dont deserve anything.
It was one of the hardest moments of my life, looking into the eyes of someone who I cared about, who I admired for her choices in life. But all she saw was UGLY. She couldnt see how amazing I thought she was, or what a character she possessed. She only saw UGLY.
Tonight we are discussing how the pressure of societies dictated beauty can destroy self esteem. How being not up to societies standards can affect people in a strong way. Affect them to the point that they give up on themselves and on life.
What can we do to combat Ugly Duckling Syndrome? Tonight we have Stacie Smith and LargeInCharge Columist Lucia Roth joining us in this discussion.
True to her Texas honky-tonk roots, Sunny Sweeney has never been a singer of what you’d call “soft” country songs — the kind you might turn to for easy comfort and or quiet Sunday afternoons with the family. Hell, you can tell just by the titles of her first two albums — Heartbreaker’s Hall of Fame and Concrete — that she reaches straight for the hard stuff. So when this woman sees fit to name her third album Provoked, you better believe she’s not about to start playing coy now. No, this is where the real hurtin’ starts, and Sweeney’s showing no mercy … least of all to herself.
On Provoked—produced by Luke Wooten—Sweeney’s singing it all from first-hand experience, and she’s not always singing from the perspective of an innocent victim, either. The album embodies the same mix of toughness and vulnerability that appealed to so many fans of Sweeney’s first two albums, but with an added level of tested-by-fire resilience that deepens the music’s emotional resonance. The songs range from the heart-on-sleeve honesty of “My Bed,” “Uninvited” and “Sunday Dress” to the raucous barroom rave-ups of “You Don’t Know Your Husband” and “Everybody Else Can,” and follow Sweeney’s turbulent and unabashedly personal roller coaster ride from reckless abandon (“Bad Girl Phase”; co-written by Brandy Clark) to yearning (“Find Me”) to candid self-reflection (“Second Guessing”) to the bittersweet defeat (“Carolina on the Line”) to, finally, the healing embrace of happiness (“Used Cars”).
Anyone feeling like an ugly duckling? I read the story to my children last night and realized what a powerful tale it is. After all, the duckling wasn't ever ugly, he just didn't know who he was! When he found out, he saw his own beauty. Of course, there's no God in the story...so how can spirituality make us beautiful? And I don't only mean from the inside out. I'll tell you what I think.
An inspirational story of overcoming adversity that you won't want to miss! Join us this Friday, July 11th at 1:30pm PT, as we welcome Julia Legian - who will share her moving story.
Julia was born in 1972 in South Vietnam. Truth be told, nobody in her family really knows her real date of birth as during war time people had other priorities than birth registries. Julia endured a horrific and extremely tough childhood. This is the subject of her memoir The Ugly Daughter. In the early 80's, her family managed to escape Vietnam as one of the “boat people” and after a few years in a refugee camp in Malaysia, they immigrated to Australia, where Julia lives to this day.
In the mid-90’s, Julia found herself a single mom struggling to pay bills, about a 100 thousand in debt and almost homeless. She met her husband in 2001, became a successful property investor and started her own real estate business. She retired in 2013 to focus on writing. She recently published her memoir and has become an internationally bestselling author.
Carolyn Yeager discusses three topics: Russian President Vladimir Putin (the Bad), Revisionist Robert Faurisson (the Good) and Revisionist David Cole (the Ugly) who will be critiqued more carefully, using the research already carried out by Juergen Graf, along with Thomas Kues and Carlo Mattogno.

Let's have candid, open, and real conversations about Love, Lies and Relationships! Join your host Queenfg Dointhedayummost for an open forum about Social Media and Relationships: The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly.
At a glance:
There are many social-media offenses that can lead your senses astray when evaluating a potential mate. Maybe your new man has perfected the art of portraying himself as a lover of travel or has multiple pictures of himself carrying the cutest kids you've ever seen on his shoulders. It would be hard for anyone not to fall in love with this catalog husband on your computer screen. So before you even sit down to dinner, visions of your perfect children and your exotic honeymoon to Bora Bora are already swimming around your brain. The problem with falling in love with someone's two-dimensional Facebook profile is that you never know what lies beyond that sparkling smile in front of the Taj Mahal.
Then there are those rare occasions where you meet someone through that archaic medium for interaction: in person. He is charming and makes you laugh, and you leave him excited to learn more. But you just can't wait until he returns from his work trip, so you decide to perform a harmless little Internet search on him, and like many attractive guys, he's just not very photogenic. All of a sudden you are questioning the real connection you had with him because you are having trouble picturing your wedding photos. Or maybe his status updates leave a little to be desired. Forget being witty in person; his interests utterly bore you. So even though your first impression of him was solid, your little date with his social-media presence leaves you second-guessing your connection.
We'd love to hear your thoughts, perspectives, and experiences...
Congratulations to the persons that are enrolled and set to begin my Introductory-First Phase of my on-line courses on "How To Become a Millionaire".
