Pearl Prather was born and raised in Tampa, Florida and currently resides in Thonotosassa with her husband Stan of 26 years. She has two children, who are now grown and off on their own and three beautiful grandsons who keep her busy when time permits. Pearl worked for a local utilities company for 17 years when one glorious day she was laid off and that is when her life really began. She soon started a cleaning business which she successfully operated for 3 plus years when one day the opportunity came through for Pearl to open a boutique. That boutique is better known as Mystikal Scents a metaphysical retail store specializing in Pagan and Wiccan items and holistic healing modalities. As owner of this unique, eclectic store, she has reached across the boundaries of cultures, religions, races, and genders to share spiritual healing and teaching through the vast array of programs offered. Her own Mystikal World has become a gateway to transport you into a world of wonder, peace, rejuvenation, and healing. Pearl has owned and operated Mystikal Scents now for the last 8 years and plans on having it well into her life. She strives to make Mystikal Scents a place that you can go to get yourself the rest, relaxation and rejuvenation that we all need and deserve. It’s a place where you can learn, heal and soak up a lot of good energy. Come by and see Pearl and sit a “spell”.
The blues is life itself to Bernie Pearl. A guitarist with an upbeat, finger-poppin' picking style he learned at the elbows of bluesmasters Sam 'Lightnin' Hopkins, Mance Lipscomb, Mississippi Fred MacDowell, and others. Yet, Bernie Pearl is no hidebound traditionalist. As music critics and aficionados have said for years, he is a craftsman who packs his songs with melodic interpretations that are new and personal each time he picks up his vintage Martin or National. To hear him tell it, "I'm not a retro player. I'm playing real blues for right now."
