Tapping Your Inner Chef: Simple Meal Planning and Prep Ideas for Busy Families

    in Moms and Family

What's for dinner? If you're like your hosts, that's an inconvenient question that’s batted around quite a bit in your home.

Apparently, we're not alone! According to "Food Genius" founder Justin Massa during a recent National Public Radio interview, "…70 to 80% of Americans do not know what we're going to have for dinner at 4:00 p.m."

The company, which analyzes data for the food industry, is just one resource grocers nationwide are using to fill the dinner gap for busy families, only today, the offerings are taking a turn towards a seemingly healthier trend. Keep in mind, convenience comes at a price! And another thing, do we really want big-box-grocers and other food engineers making decisions that were once the domain of the family cook? Hardly!

Local chef and restaurant owner Davena Jernigan offers time saving tips from her treasure trove of food wisdom - tips that'll take the anxiety out of meal planning and inspire families to look no further than their own pantries for answers.

So, what are you gonna do Monday morning? Listen to the Mommy Chronicles of course, ‘cause you know this show is just what you’ve been waiting for!
