Saving Teeth with Natural Dental Care

    in Self Help

Dental problems are very common, worsened by the harm of excessive sugar, acidic beverages and other junk food. Unfortunately, fillings and root canals create additional problems without improving the health of the teeth.

Deficiency of minerals in the soils and our diet is a key reason for dental problems. Mineral nutrients with good absorption must be provided to the body. Ionic minerals are small charged particles the cells can use, found in organic foods and special supplements. North Atlantic kelp is an excellent source of trace minerals, including iodine that is essential for the thyroid and the immune system.

Calcium is the most prevalent mineral in the body and is often quite deficient. Most calcium supplements are poorly absorbed. At ReallyWell.com we have well-absorbed calcium, as well as ionic magnesium and trace minerals. Antioxidants are also important for the microcirculation that keeps the gums healthy.

Other items that are important for dental health, the gums and jaws include: Vitamin D, coconut oil, xylitol, and help for the immune system, such as clove oil, oregano oil, myrrh, silver, hydrogen peroxide and probiotics. Oil pulling with coconut oil, and maintaining an oral pH around neutral (7) are wise practices. Low abrasion toothpaste or powder, a soft toothbrush and a healthy alternative mouthwash are helpful tools.

January Jones- My Father's Teeth-Josh Mitchell

    in Movies

Writer, director and publicist Josh Mitchell is originally from Boston, but currently lives in the heart of Hollywood. In July of 2014, he published his first novel, The Dude Who Did Dictionaries, the story of a man who leaves his high-paying job as a advertising copywriter to instead work in a bookstore and attempt to write the world’s first all-sexual dictionary. A sprawling, gritty depiction of a recession-afflicted world, The Dude Who Did Dictionaries is a gripping account of one man’s fatalistic downward spiral.

In August of 2014, Mitchell released Pissing on the Pulse of the Planet, a book that offers unique musings on sex, politics and pop culture, all viewed through the lens of Mitchell’s subversive comedic wit.
Mitchell recently wrote, directed and starred in Lack of Cockery, a feature film about a venture capitalist who finds himself questioning his perspective on identity, life and love.

Meanwhile, Mitchell’s public relations company, Wickid Pissa Publicity, has become one of the most in-demand firms in the entertainment industry, offering services ranging from marketing, branding and event production and management. Midnight Meditation with CharLena

    in Spirituality

This morning on Small Business Saturday and 2 days after Thanksgiving Day it is our best time to explore meditation as an act of Self Care and Self Love. What are these?

Self-Care is the act of being good to and for yourself, whether healthily, emotionally or physically. It's as simple as brushing your teeth or taking a daf off to regroup or even just saying no to something or someone when you are tired.

Self-Love is getting in touch with your true and allowing your feelings to explore everything about you and your life, so you can truly enjoy the world around you.

This week we start Self-Care/Self Love with a Gratitude Meditation, based on the Daily Word.

Join me and explore a more fulfilling life through Self-Care and Self-Love.

Pandorica Opens - Sleep No More & Face The Raven Discussed

    in Entertainment

In this episode Raissa and Ian sink their teeth into 'Sleep No More' and 'Face The Raven'.

The first of the two episodes written by Mark Gatiss is perhaps the most frightening episode of 'Doctor Who' to date and made a few controversial decisions elsewhere, which are some of the things that we'll discuss.

'Face The Raven' is the episode, which finally said goodbye to Clara and seemingly didn't do to much to resolve her story arc, which we hope will resolve by the season finale. We'll take a look at that and discuss in full during this meaty half hour of all things 'Doctor Who'.

    Piranahs - Monsters of Nature

    in Environment

Piranahs - Monsters of Nature will be the topic on tonight's Natures Talk Show Monsters of Nature. A piranha or piraña is a member of family Characidae in order Characiformes, an omnivorous freshwater fish that inhabits South American rivers. In Venezuela, they are called caribes. From the moment tiny baby piranhas hatch from their microscopic eggs, they come into the world armed and dangerous. Baby piranha will feast on tiny crustaceans, fruits, seeds, and aquatic plants. Once they reach about 1.5 inches in length they begin feeding on the fins and flesh of other fish that wander too closely. As they grow larger they begin to venture out in groups (shoals) of about 20 fish where they use a variety of hunting strategies to kill and eat their prey. Heck, they don't kill their prey first, they just start eating the victim alive - that's what makes them so ferocious. Adult piranha have been known to eat their own babies.Piranhas are world-famous for their razor-sharp teeth. Native peoples of South America will catch the piranha and use their teeth to make tools and weapons. Even the fisherman who catch these vicious little predators have to be careful when the fish is out of water. A single piranha out of water is still dangerous enough to take off the flesh, or the odd toe, from an unwary fisherman.

    in Music

In December 2014, Tasjan spent a week recording In the Blazes at New Monkey Studio in Los Angeles, the same hallowed space where Elliott Smith cut his final record From a Basement on the Hill. At the helm for the sessions was Tasjan’s good buddy Eli Thomson of the band Everest, whom he’d met on tour while pulling a stint with Brooklyn indie-folk outfit Alberta Cross, and who produced Delta Spirit’s Ode to Sunshine. “Eli is a very grounded dude, personality-wise—he has a zen way of being,” Tasjan says. “On a subconscious level, that’s a comforting thing to be around during the creative process. You’re relaxed enough to try new things and blow it. And for better or worse, part of my thing is messing up—I have to mess it up first to do it great. Really, that idea permeates my life, far beyond being a songwriter,” Tasjan explains. “I always identify with the underdog. Some people, if you look at ‘em, you wouldn’t think much of them, but then they surprise you. It turns out there’s something about them that blows your mind. And that’s kind of the overarching theme of most of the songs on In the Blazes.”Truth in advertising—In the Blazes finds Aaron Lee Tasjan more than just one toke over the line. But it’s cool. The charmingly self-deprecating underdog of an East Nashville songwriter can handle his shit. Instead of the munchies, young gun Tasjan—who cut his teeth playing lead guitar in late-period incarnations of The New York Dolls and Drivin N Cryin—wound up with one hell of a debut LP.
