Al Diaz, Dawn DelVecchio Spirit, Mind & Money: A New Conversation about Service

    in Lifestyle

Al Diaz and co-host Dawn DelVecchio share their insights on Spirit, Mind & Money: A New Conversation about Service.

    Saturday, November 21st  10am PST

Dawn DelVecchio is a professional writer, marketing consultant and entrepreneurial business coach. Her diverse career path has included such varied work as: professional kick boxer, kick boxing coach, herbalist, ceremonialist, astrologer, magazine editor and luxury travel writer based in Thailand. Until recently, these diverse career paths shared one common denominator … they kept Dawn locked into financial struggle.

Today, Dawn attributes the transformational change in her personal, professional and financial life to courageously following her dreams in a way that seemed completely illogical at the time, but ultimately led to her ability to live a life by design.

That design includes living in two incredible locations annually: Sedona Arizona and Chiang Mai Thailand. It also includes the incredible success of her first book, Spirit, Mind & Money, which recently hit #1 best seller on Amazon in the Women & Business category within a few short hours of launching last month.

Dawn understands firsthand the painful disconnect that happens when heart-centered helpers don’t address their relationship to money, and she’s on a mission of sorts, to open up a conversation on this sometimes taboo subject. Her goal is to support people who are called to have a greater impact with their work, so they don’t get stymied by subconscious blocks, faulty vows of poverty and what she calls “Unexamined Money Mantras.”

Milling About with Narada Michael Walden

    in Entertainment

Narada Michael Walden grew up as Michael in Kalamazoo, Michigan in a house filled with music always playing. He would beat along on pie tins and table tops, and at five years old when he received his first Toyland drum kit, that set his musical path. Fast forward to 19 when he was discovered by John McLaughlin who introduced him to his guru, giving him the name 'Narada' which means supreme musician. That set his spiritual path.

Producing pop music was just an extension of Narada's listening to what was hot coming up in Michigan, from 'Motown to Johnny Mathis and everything in-between.' He tells Robin how 12 year-old Stacy Lattisaw was his first big break as a producer; putting her and him on the map with Let Me Be Your Angel. He recalls, 'And then my phone started ringing from Clive Davis and you name it. Will you produce this person and this one? And I said yes to everybody. I blew up!'

Narada treats Robin to stories about some of the incredibly talented artists he's worked with over the years including Elton John, Sting and his Rainforest productions, Lionel Richie, Barbra Streisand and Whitney Houston; to name a few. He also talks about his new album Evolution and says the songs were inspired by the changes in him since fatherhood.

Money Day Thursdays: Teaching Your Children About Money

    in Spirituality

So, this may be easy for some of us and tough for others but it is very important to teach your children the value of a dollar.  Wahtever that may mean to you and your family, children need to know the truth about money.  Not simply how to spend it, but to save, manage and earn it.  What do you do with a child who wants everything that they see?  Do you simply say, "Money doesn't grow on trees" or do yoy break it down in an easy to understand child friendly way?  I guarentee that teaching your kids about money early will help to mold them into being conscious in ways that our parents may not have been.
