The Total Tutor Neil Haley will interview Comedian Americas Got Talent Contestant Tom Cotter.
In 2012, Cotter appeared on season 7 of NBC's Americas Got Talent. He was given a pass to Las Vegas by the show's three judges. He further advanced to the top 48 (quarterfinals) to perform in the live episodes in New Jersey. On July 10, 2012, he performed a stand-up routine making fun of common clichés and phrases, and advanced to the semi-finals. On August 28, 2012, he presented the judges with a list of subjects and asked judge Howie Mandel to pick one. Mandel picked "College", and Cotter then gave a short comedy set on the subject of college and teenagers. He advanced to the final round of six and was the runner-up of the season. On August 21, 2013, Tom Cotter returned to the show to perform on the results show of that night.
The TalentCulture #TChat Show is back live in the New Year on Wednesday, January 27, 2016, from 1-2 pm ET (10-11 am PT).
Last week we talked about how tech pros can help assess and hire tech pros, and this week we’re going to talk about how HR leaders achieve talent brand dominance.
Employers are obviously constantly aware of the state of their company brand. But very few organizations realize the impact of their talent brand on both their reputation to job seekers and company morale amongst existing employees.
A talent brand is what talent (which comprises both working and non-working Joes) thinks, feels, and shares about your company as a place to work.
Contrary to what employers believe, according to this week’s guest, less than 30 percent of the working population cares about their company’s product brand. What they are concerned with is how employers approach caring for their people and addressing their needs. Most hiring authorities aren’t coming to terms to deal with the reality that their talented employees have options.
Join TalentCulture #TChat Show co-founders and co-hosts Meghan M. Biro and Kevin W. Grossman as they talk about how HR leaders achieve talent brand dominance with this week’s guest: Joan Graci, CEO and President of APA Solutions, a boutique employment and human capital consulting firm.
Thank you to all the TalentCulture sponsors, partners and supporters!
in Rock Music
Clark's Secret Identity is an experimental rock band that is hard to associate with any certain subgenre. While predominately influenced by modern progressive rock, the band also incorporates the sounds of art rock, post rock, and even hints of doom metal and punk. Despite these labels, CSI strives to connect personally to the listener rather than distance themselves as many experimental bands do, and the songs display a penchant for tightness, cohesion, and accessibility.
Clark's Secret Identity was formed in early 2014 when drummer Matthew Bankes posted an ad seeking musicians for an original rock project with a progressive rock feel. The ad was answered by guitarist Shane Anthony, a classically trained songwriter fresh out of college. The two struck an immediate bond over common musical interests and started jamming and discussing ideas. Bassist Keith Horning, a longtime friend and former bandmate of Matthew’s, joined the project and the core trio was complete. In 2015, Clark's Secret Identity decided to pull four songs from their growing song list to record for their debut EP. Recorded and engineered by Odin's Court guitarist Matt Brookins at D2C Studios, Clark's Secret Identity's debut EP was released on December 22, 2015 as a digital download.
