Dr. Susan R. Cushing is a graduate of the Boston College and Tufts University Dental School, a Fellow in the International College of Dentists and a Master in the Academy of General Dentistry. Susan practices all phases of dentistry with an emphasis on Cosmetic Dentistry and treating fearful and phobic dental patients. She is also a Clinical Hypnotherapist and a Master Practitioner of Neuro-Linguistic Programming, where she helps others re-program their own thoughts, actions and behaviors, in order to enhance the quality and effectiveness of their lives. Dr. Cushing is also the author of a new book, titled, “Fat No More! The Book of Hope for Losing Weight."
This Week’s Message: Fear can be the greatest motivator, but it is also the number one cause of stress, which leads to effort, struggle, suffering, accidents, pain and disease.Confidence resides in the absence of fear and comes from knowing that all is well regardless of appearances. Whether you experience fear or confidence has nothing to do with the circumstances of your life or your external environment. Rather, it has everything to do with your inner perceptions – the meanings you take on about your situation. In every situation you encounter, you always have a choice to perceive things through the eyes of fear or confidence. How will you approach your next challenge in life...with fear or confidence?
