Henry Saint Clair Fredericks, who goes by the stage name Taj Mahal, is an internationally recognized blues musician who folds various forms of world music into his offerings. A self-taught singer-songwriter who plays the guitar, banjo and harmonica (among many other instruments), Mahal has done much to reshape the definition and scope of blues music during his 40+ year career by fusing it with nontraditional forms, including sounds from the Caribbean, Africa and the South Pacific.
You may recall one of Todd's many epic appearances on television when he performed with Taj Mahal and Michele Gray in 1989 on the show Night Music hosted by David Sanborn? The song was "Never Mind the Why and Wherefore" from the Gilbert and Sullivan operetta, H.M.S. Pinafore and they were accompanied by other musicians including Pat Metheny (guitar), Philippe Saisse (keyboards), Christian Marclay (turntables), and host David Sanborn (saxophone).
Todd also joined Taj onstage on the same show for a rendition of Mahal's "She Caught The Katy".
The Kevin Love rumors seem to be swirling with not only Golden State and Cleveland in the mix, but now the Chicago Bulls as well. A deal including Taj Gibson, Jimmy Butler and a number of other assets appear to be what the offer will consist of. What will Chicago have to give up for Love? Would it be worth it to have a big three of Derrick Rose, Love and Joakim Noah without much depth - Or should Chicago keep the deepest team in the Eastern Conference that it already has?

Last broadcast we covered the basics of interpretation of our natal charts, and before that; terminology, retrograde, the language of Astrology, and planetary energies, and today we will cover “The Ephemeris”
An ephemeris is a table showing predicted positions of heavenly bodies, or the coordinates of celestial bodies at regular intervals often with supplemental information; or an astronomical almanac containing such tables.
Ephemerides are essential to astrologers, navigators, and actually all of us as a whole, but since this knowledge was kept hidden from us in plain sight - as trivial stuff that can be read in a European newspaper; we were unaware of its vast importance.
I reported this morning that the Chicago Bulls have made an offer of Nikola Mirotic, TajGibson, and Doug McDermott to the Minnesota Timberwolves in exchange for Kevin Love.
Naturally, this was big news in Chicago -- especially since it comes one day after both McDermott and Mirotic signed their rookie contracts. They cannot be traded for another 29 days.
I talked about the Bulls' offer, and how it stacks up against other teams' offers, in this interview with the Carman & Jurko Show on ESPN1000 in Chicago.
U.S. military forces were ill-prepared for waging war in Iraq and Afghanistan at the dawn of the 21st century. Military leaders quickly realized that U.S. soldiers on the ground needed knowledge of the people’s culture in order to win the war. Military leaders turned to anthropologists from around the U.S. to provide them with the expertise to implement a program that will equip soldiers in the field to win the hearts and minds of the people in the combat areas. Thus, a new field of warfare was born: Cutlure Centric Warfare. Today, we will discuss how the military used Anthropologists to solve this problem and its implications in future military campaigns.
