A lie or not? A lie then or a lie now? A lie then and now?FrederickDouglass spoke these words April 1883 referencing Blacks of America and slavery. This excerpt is from Frederick Douglass speech to a congressional church in Washington DC.
Our destiny is largerly in our own hands. if we find, we shall have to seek
if we succeed in the race for life must be by our own energies and our own exertions.
Others may clear the road, but we must go forward or be left behind in the race for life.
If we remain poor and dependent the wealth of others will not avail us.
if we are ignorant the intelligence of others will do but little for us.
If we are foolish, the wisdom of tothers will not guide us.
If we are wasteful of our time and money, the economy of others will only make our destitution
the more disgraceful and hurtful. If we are vicious and lawless, the virtues and good behavior of others
will not save us from our vices and our crimes.
We are now free, and though we have many of the consequences of our past condition to contend against,
by union, effort, co-operation, and by a wise policy in the direction and the employment of our mental, moral,
industrial and political powers, it is the faith of my soul that we can blot out the handwriting of popular prejudice,
remove the stumpling blocks left in our way by slavery, rise to an honorable place in the estimation of our
fellow-citizens of all classes, and make a comfortable way for ourselves in the world.

When his son asked him to do a favor one day, Victor never imagined what the results would be. His son wanted help expanding his North American Power team into the new markets in Pennsylvania, Maryland, and New Jersey.
Victor was a corporate professional working in engineering management and didn’t know much about expanding an energy choice team in various states, but when he became a Representative, he found that the free training and free webpage surprisingly helped him find fast success, and soon he became an Area Director.
“What I didn’t expect was an income that would allow me to spend time with my grandsons. When my kids were growing up, I had to spend 60 to 80 hours a week working, and saw so little of them. Now I have the pleasure of sharing this Opportunity to help lots of people with their own personal economic recovery.”
Victor’s wife is also looking forward to spending less time at her job. “That’s great, it’s already helping us meet our future goal of spending lots of time with our two grandsons, and not having to worry about finances while doing so. My suggestion for anyone considering the North American Power Opportunity is to just do it. If not this Opportunity, then what else? There are no more deregulated industries and North American Power is changing the playing field, in fact they’re changing the entire home-based business industry. Just do it!”
TOPIC: Let your spiritual roots grow deep!
SUB: TOPIC: The Parable of the Sower of Seeds
TODAY'S DISCUSSION: Seeds are meant to be planted deep within fertile soil, where it can be nourished, grow roots and spring up tall. However all seeds don’t make it, some wither and die, while others are devoured because they were left unattended and unprotected. The Word of God is a living seed, it has to be nurtured within our hearts once a thought or idea has been planted, it needs to be watered by the washing of the Word (Ephesians 5:26) That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word, 5:27 That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish.
