I wonder when the Black Friday shopping numbers are finally if we'll see an increase of sale compared to last year? Even if it's regional I would assume Sandy has forced people to buy new things. The only obstacle to that theory is if your home is a wreck where will you put the things you get on sale? taking advantage of sandy to make money or pimping a storm shows it self in the form of higher insurance rates in flood zones, companies hawking prep materials, bulk food etc. phony contractors scamming people, to even the criminals who didnt wait & startied robbing homes & business during the storm itself. even the city asked for funds for sandy which will boost a portion of the economy even if regional. I thought of an idea on twiter called #BKPreppers . I think us city dwellers need more information & planning when it comes to future sandy type events. people were buying chicken before sandy hit as if the lights, freezers, stoves, microwaves weren't going to go out. Also seems like weve forgotten the gas shortage and the loss of control you experienced during it's peak. On the bright side I think by summer/fall 2013 there will be a "Sandy Baby Boom" from whatever end of world sex that was going on. Hopefully 30 minutes is enough to cover it all, if not we'll come to these topics next week.
Sandy is the Founder of Connectable.biz, software she designed for networking groups to share leads online. With 12 years of owning a storefront business, but no experience in software, Sandy took a leap, joined an entrepreneurial course called The Foundation and following their framework she built Connectable.biz in less than a year with six customers in three different countries.

About This Episode
Sandra Bland is a victim of police brutality, whether the media wants to admit it or not. They provided a mugshot of her and people wonder if the photo was after she was killed. Wait, they are saying it was a suicide! Many people, including some African Americans, believe it was in fact a suicide due to her depression. We know better, America. We are here to once again set the record straight and set the tone.
Join Storm, Dictator and Big Izzy as we lay out the facts and tell it like it is.

On today’s show World Footprints explores the plight of the endangered Panther, we chat with one of the rising IZOD Indycar stars Simona de Silvestro, and we also view Catholicism through the lens with Father Robert Barron. As a special bonus, we added some sound bytes and interviews from the DC Stop Modern Slavery walk to end human trafficking.
Panthers once roamed the entire southeastern United States; from Florida to South Carolina and Louisiana. However, the panther was added to the Endangered Species List in 1967 and today the remaining population is isolated in South Florida. The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service is at the forefront of the Panther conservation efforts and Park Ranger Sandy Mickey from the Florida Panther & Ten Thousand Islands National Wildlife Refuges joins us today to talk about some of these initiatives.
Then, we enjoyed a chat with one of the IZOD Indycar series rising stars, Simona de Silvestro. Simona is one of a handful of female Indycar racers and she is one of the most prominent racecar drivers on the track. She is the first woman in Atlantic Series history to have earned the most wins and pole positions, and the IZOD Indycar Rising Star Award. Finally, we will talk to Father Robert Barron, the Francis Cardinal George Professor of Faith and Culture at Mundelein Seminary and a priest of the Archdiocese of Chicago, about his PBS series Catholicism. This documentary illustrates the history and treasures of a global religion shared by more than one billion people around the world by exploring art, architecture, literature, music and all the riches of the Catholic tradition.
From fixing Sandy’s damage to leaving the world better than you found it, it’s time to take action.
Superstorm Sandy’s devastation along the Eastern seaboard—especially New Jersey and New York—has changed millions of lives.
We talk with Ty Pennington who, along with Sears and K-Mart, has been on the ground in Seaside Heights, NJ to help get much-needed supplies from generators to toys where they need to go. And Ty gives us a peek at Extreme Makeover: Home Edition’s four holiday episodes.
And we talk about Project Rebuild and Recover's efforts and Socks for Sandy bloggers in the Hometalk community to get crucial supplies—yes, socks, clothes, diapers and more—to effected areas as soon as possible.
From bloggers to boardrooms, America steps up to rescue, recover and rebuild.
After being pulled over for a minor traffic infraction Sandra Bland was unlawfully arrested and made to go to jail. While in custody she died under very suspicious circumstances. All signs point to murder and the people want more then answers, they demand action! Will we sit by and let another outspoken person in our community become yet another hashtag? Law enforcement says they will give us justice but is it to late for that? If this was an isolated incident we can pretend it was a crooked cop, a bad apple, a rogue officer that ended Sandy's life but incidents such as this happens to often. This is secret policy. There is a war going on and it is quite clear that ?#AMERICA? KILLED ?#SANDRABLAND?. Next ?#2RAW4TV? we talk about the case, what's next, and WHAT WE ARE GOING TO DO ABOUT IT! tune in
