What does it really mean to "Delight yourself in the Lord"? One thing is for sure, if our focus is not on Christ and we don't take delight in Him first we miss out on his best. We also miss out on the great relationship we could have in Him. Just picture yourself being tottally wrapped up in the Saviour, who provides all your needs, just not in your timing. And so what often stands in the way of this and competes greatly are things such as wanting a promotion or job. The need for a Godly mate to spend the rest of your life with, finances, good health to name a few. All are understandable request that God honors. But we often desire these things to such a degree that we forget about God and his provision, that he's the only one that can truly provide. Now ask yourself, what am I taking delight in thats robbing me of the ultimate relationship you can have in Christ?
