TONIGHT 9PM- Divorce is often a dreaded word for most children. In contrast, many of us welcomed it when our parent’s announced their divorce when we were teenagers. Due to the fact, we were old enough to recognize that their was a problem, and that divorce seemed like the only outlet. While marriage is supposed to be a beautiful union between two individuals, divorce seems like an all too common life event. Call us and share your opinion. Tune in for a special edition of That's Entertainment as I talk with author Tori Lynn about her new book, "The Divorce." Tori's book is an autobiography about the spiritual and emotional journey she encountered while going through her marriage and subsequent divorce. Through all the pain and suffering, she appeared tough on the outside, but behind closed doors, she secretly cried out for God to save her marriage. A marriage that she later realized was doomed from the beginning because he wasn’t “The One.” From the joyous and exciting way they met in church to two children and court battles later, Tori lost everything; her homes, her business, her faith and her self-esteem. She lost trust with those she loved from family, church and even God. Tori literally walked through the valley of the shadow of death as the enemy told her that suicide was her only way out. Tune in on Wednesday, October 8 at 1pm ET as I talk with the extrordinary Tori Lynn.

Tonight's special guest is Dr. Pamela Pine, PhD, MPH, founder and CEO of "Stop the Silence: Stop Child Sexual Abuse, Inc.", a non-profit, charitable 501(c)3 organization, with a Mission to expose and stop child sexual abuse and help survivors heal worldwide. Their goals are: 1) to promote healing of victims and survivors; and 2) to celebrate the lives of those healed. Through their work, "Stop The Silence" aims to address the relationships between CSA and the broader issues of overall family and community violence, and violence within and between communities. Their focus underlines the importance of a shift in focus on positive development within our social complexes (e.g., the relationships between men, women, adults and children, cultural groups) to support peaceful - and to hinder violence-prone - relationships. "Stop the Silence" is also known for its annual "Race to Stop the Silence" event held in Washington DC each April and for its partnerships with such organizations as the annual International Violence and Trauma (IVAT) convention in San Diego and "The Lamplighters Movement."

SPECIAL TOPIC Night - "For Our Kids" - Deborah Maddison, and Tracy Baxter, Canadian activists from British Columbia, will welcome Dan Brewington from Norwood, Ohio, as our US guest host. Dan was one of the subjects of the "Divorce Corp" documentary. The three will lead this evening's discussion about the Rights of Children and Families in North America. Tonight we are covering a very sensitive topic, "Family Court and the Reality of Grief, Loss and Trauma for Children and Families." It should be noted that although we have 5 different individuals who have different stories to tell, the outcome, and the trauma they suffered, is remarkably similar. These are all people who were in need of compassion and understanding. At the most vulnerable time in their lives, and with literally everything at stake, they were instead completely victimized by our judicial system. Going through the system while in a state of acute emotional distress is much like how Prisoners Of War suffer in battle. In fact, the judicial system has become such a hostile environment that Litigation has actually been referred to by lawyers as the last Blood Sport in America. We will also be discussing something the system seems to forget, which is the grief and trauma suffered by children who have been ripped from a loving parent, and how this affects them for the rest of their lives. The best interests of the system are NOT the best interests of the child. ~~ Every two weeks a new THEME will be presented in this series, with frequent special guests speaking from their own experience. ~~ Please see our web page at: www.NAASCA.org/ForOurKids or write to: firstname.lastname@example.org

We will discuss this study about the more money you spend on your wedding and the engagement ring; the more likely you will divorce. Are you divorced? How much did you spend on your wedding? Do you agree with this study? Why do you think people feel the need to spend lots of money on a wedding and a ring? Why do people even still feel the need to get married? Are they not aware that half of all marriages end in divorce? Plus we will discuss other relationship related topics. As usual, the show will be a hot button topic!
