SORT BY Relevancy
Hey welcome to another edition of the "Jay Byrd Show!" I'm sooo sick of this over politcally correct world and I plan on letting some steam out on today's show! They did Stephen A. Smith wrong after he did an excellent job articulating his thoughts and they still picked through his words and made him out to be some sort of advocate for abusing women! I'll talk about this and much more on the all new "Jay Byrd Show!"
I was looking a book to read and some one recommened "Sweeps" by Stephen Brown. The first Book of a series invloving Ensign Samuel Wallace and his adventures on board Minesweepers. After serving on three different minesweeps I could not resist the chance to read a book about minesweeps (which by the way are very hard to find)
I just ordered the next two books "Track of the Teasure" and "Wrath of the Eagle"

On the Friday, May 9th broadcast at 12 Noon Pacific, 3PM Eastern our special guest is Stephen Wilkins, who publishes the 'Mind the Gap' blog. Stephen notes he is:
'...a writer, researcher, entrepreneur and speaker with a passion for all facets of physician-patient communications and its impact on patient engagement, patient activation, patient outcomes, visit productivity and the patient experience.'
For more click here.
The history if not genesis of his blog is noted as follows:
“Mind the Gap” is a warning heard on subway systems around the world. It is intended to alert individuals to avoid accidentally stepping in the “gap” that separates the train from the platform.
As used here, it is an expression that alludes to the communications gap that exists all too often today between patients and their physicians. Like the subway, this blog is a kind of warning. It is intended to making health care provider and organizations aware of the consequences of poor physician-patient communications…and how to avoid them.'

Singer/songwriter Stephen 'Bish' Bishop, best known for top of the chart hits like 'On And On,' 'Separate Lives,' and the theme from Tootsie, 'It Might Be You,' joins host Robin Milling to play and chat about his new album Be Here Then. A fanatical Beatles fan since seeing them on The Ed Sullivan Show, Stephen tells Robin about his dream of being asked to join the group by John and Paul!
Stephen has come a long way since going door to door to music publishers playing them his music in hopes of getting signed. He tells Robin he even gave Barbra Streisand and her then beau, Jon Peters a private concert in her home when they were shopping for A Star Is Born songs. 'They made out on the couch and I sang songs!'
Stephen performs the first single, 'Pretty Baby,' from his new CD, a beautiful acoustic version of 'Separate Lives,' which was covered by Phil Collins and Marilyn Martin, confirming it was written about his break-up with Indiana Jones actress Karen Allen. Writing songs since he was 13 there is one he didn't write, It Might Be You, which he sung for the film Tootsie, and performs here. Stephen also reveals his hidden talents doing a mean Billie Holiday impression.
