Tonight we will discuss the exact meaning of what it is that the black masses are seeking in their attempt at arena sports.  Could our behavior be linked to the violent nature in which Malcolm and our other leaders died have awakened a  primeval stance in our minds? As a people have we lost the ability to see humanity has gone far astray because we have not really achieved justice for our fallen? Have we really turned a blind eye to the Murder of our Beloved leader? “In America, we give maximum  expression to our blood lust in the mass spectator sport of boxing. Some of us are Roman enough go admit our need of the sport.  Others pretend  to look the other way.  but when a heavyweight champion fight rolls around, the nation takes a moral holiday and we are all turned in some of us peeping out of the corner of our eye at the square jungle and the animal test of brute power unfolding there.

Every institution  in America is tainted by the mystique of race, and the question of masculinity is confused by the presence of both a white man and a black man here.  One was  the master and the other was the slave until a moment ago when they both were declared to be equal men; which leaves American men literally without a unitary, nationally viable self-image.  Whatever dim vision of masculinity they have is a rough and ready, savage mishmash of violence and sexuality, and dichotomized exercise and worship of physical force/ submission to and fear of physical force which is only one aspect of the broken down relationship between mean and women in America.  This is an era when the models of manhood  and womanhood have been blasted to dust by social upheaval, and the most alienated males and females at the bottom of society move out of their place and bid for their right to be man and woman on an equal basis with the former masters and mistresses." SOUL ON ICE,  Eldridge Cleaver.

"Holiday Showdown with Your Fox 'News' Watching Relatives: Counter-Talking Points to Help You Smack Down the Misinformed, Ugly, Fox Rhetoric at The Family Gathering!"
Once again right wing media misinformation is stoking the flames of fear!  The anti-immigrant, anti-Muslim, and anti-refugee rhetoric has been ramping up along with the usual unabashed racism we have been seeing more openly espoused on many media outlets on the right and on hate-radio toward Non-Anglo and Non-Christian Americans.  Now we have seen peaceful anti-racism activists be abused and assaulted at Trumr rallies, including a young man, and #BlackLivesMatter activist, this week.  We have also seen a slew of governors, a vote in US Congress, and almost all of the GOP presidential candidates boldly express their rejection of the idea of opening our door to desperate refugees from Syria who have fled the brutality of ISIS.  This can mean only one thing for your family gathering this Thanksgiving!  That's right, your Fox 'news' watching relatives will be fully loaded with bogus talking points and hateful rhetoric, and they will have their GPS programed to zero in on your logical, fact based, critically thinking brain waves and the beating of your 'love thy brother' liberal heart!  Prepare for the showdown and arm yourself with the facts to smack down the predictable Thanksgiving dinner talking points,  with Eyes Wide Open: DemBlogTalk!   Our guest will be Sarah Slamen.  Sarah is a 3rd generation Syrian-American and a real activist for the Texas and the National Democratic Parties.  She has been in Louisiana campaigning for John Bell Edwards who won his gubernatorial bid to beat scandal ridden US Senator Vitter and become the new Governor-elect of the state!
We will also have our weekly #FeelThe Burn Report, LIVE from the Sanders campaign!

So close, but the UTEP football came up on the upset bid.  We look at last week's battle, and does this team have more fight left.

UTEP received a verbal commit from a quarterback, but what else is needed now that lack of current depth has been exposed.

Lisa Mann Co-Hosts with Rae Gordon & Kevin Selfe - In Benefit Of Aly

    in Music

Show # 295 - Live, Uncut & Uncensored Conversations With "Musicians You Should Know"

Back in July 2015, Lisa Mann was a guest on the show.  During our talk she mentioned her niece Aly and her battle with cancer and a benefit, which was going to be held.

I told Lisa to include a silent auction item from me…the chance to co-host and select two guests.

Well in the end Lisa was the winning bid – not sure there were any other bids or Lisa has had this deep desire to fulfill her Robin Quivers Radio Role!

The two musicians she selected are also from the Portland area…Lisa showing love to her peeps in the northwest.

First is Rae Gordon. She was awarded a Muddy Award in 2014 for Best Female Vocalist and is a constant presence in the Northwest Music Scene.  I look forward to learning more about Rae during the show.

Kevin Selfe is a Couch Kid and would have been booked for a Couch Kid New Music Segment with the release of his latest, Buy My Soul Back.  When Lisa mentioned his name it was a done deal!

As Co-host, Lisa will be asking a lot of the questions and I can guarantee there will be fun galore.

Of course we will hear some music from each of these folks.
