Pour yourself a "dumb latte" and listen to this podcast. Tonight, hosts Brian Roth and Matt Levi are discussing the Dumb Starbucks case. Haven't heard of Dumb Starbucks? Well, some pretty bold business owners opened a coffee cafe called "Dumb Starbucks". Is this business protected under parody laws? Attorney Levi will give you his take while stand-up comic Roth comes up with a couple parodies of his own.

"A Vampire Walks into a Starbucks..." What happens, when a 300-year-old vampire meets a modern day Witch? Will she be able to break the curse upon him? "Deadly Conversations" is the new novel by D.C. McLaughlin -- so called, because the two characters scope each other out, over coffee with just enough drops of blood in it to keep the vampire under control! But the Witch soon finds herself targeted by the vampire's "sire," who has been pressuring him to embrace his monstrous side. Find out why I "devoured" this novel on today's episode! deadlyconversations.wordpress.com

Shannon Celebi writes speculative fiction in all its weird and wonderful forms. Residing in Ashland, Oregon with her husband, her son, two neurotic cats, and a dilapidated laptop named Persephone, Shannon has two collections of short stories, Small Town Ghosts, and Small Town Demons, available on Amazon at http://amzn.to/19lodTU.
Shannon spends every waking hour at her computer, but if she gets a brief moment of respite you can usually find her curled up on the sofa with a kick-ass book and a steaming mug of Joe (Sumatra from Starbucks is her favorite). Shannon also enjoys windsurfing (not), hang-gliding (super not) and long walks on the beach (maybe).
Shannon has far too many favorite books to list in this little space, but if she had to pick three, she'd probably say, "This Body by Laurel Doud, Jane Eyre by Charlotte Bronte, and Heart Shaped Box' by Joe Hill." Of course, she couldn't pick just three, so she'd also name, The Song of Ice and Fire series by George R. R. Martin, The Shining by Stephen King, and Sharp Objects by Gillian Flynn.

Energy. Everybody wants more energy. Just look at the line ups at your local Starbucks or check out the cold beverage display at 7-11 where energy drinks have taken over. But what if you could produce endless energy without the aid of caffeinated beverages? You can and my guest this week is going to discuss her everyday tips and tools that will change your energy levels and thereby your life. If you want to have endless energy consistently, tune in this week to find out what you can do starting today to make this a reality.
Debra Greene began her energy exploration at the age of 24 when she traveled alone to Egypt, India, China, Colombia, and elsewhere in search of life's unseen mysteries. She studied Tai Chi with Master Liang, an 84 year old Chinese Master who could propel someone twice his size across the room without even touching them. At Ohio State University she formalized her experiential understanding of how human energies work with a rigorous and rare Ph.D. in Communication and Somatic Studies (Body-Mind Integration). Debra trained in kinesiology muscle testing and at once saw the potential for communicating with the body-mind system. She developed Inner Clarity (IC), an energy balancing method that uses the feedback of kinesiology energy testing to pinpoint hidden limiting beliefs and a vast array of energy-based techniques to transform them. Spiritual coach and author Goldberg is a knowledgeable and sympathetic chronicler of the past 150 years of Indian spiritual ideas' influence on American spirituality. Correctly starting with Emerson and American transcendentalism, Goldberg follows a trail that gets broader, more diverse, and more powerful until yoga is as American as Starbucks, and "spiritual but not religious" becomes a cultural catchphrase describing millions whose notions of the transcendent are more shaped by Hinduism(Eternal Religion) than by Yankee divines and Southern Baptists. Goldberg gets it.

For the Christian, the worship of God should be the main focus of what we do. In fact EVERYTHING we do is worship. But there's a mysterious, but yet awesome experience when Christians worship together corporately/publicly on Sunday. Is God interested in HOW we worship Him more than we give attention to? Does worship REALLY matter? Or do we as a contemporary society, have the liberty to worship God according to our own desires?
Has Christianity, (corporate worship in particular) become too comfortable? Has the church of the 21st century lost it's awe for an awesome God?
