The NY Hip Hop Report - Year Two Begins
Tonight, we begin year two of The NY Hip Hop Report.
It's really a unique concept. A talk radio show, that focuses on New York-area hip hop artists, music, events and organizations.
It follows in the groundbreaking footsteps of our parent organization (the newly resdesigned) BirthplaceMag.com.
So, as you've been doing every week for the past year, please join us live from 10p-11pto discuss all things NY hip hop, the good, the bad and the ugly.
As always, we'd love your interaction in our chat room and by calling us up.
We have some great things in store, this, and every show. Thanks for supporting us throughout the past year. It means a lot to us, and we think it's been very helpful for New York's hip hop music and culture.

The NY Hip Hop Report - Ep. 51 - Is Hip Hop In a Good Place?
Birthplace Magazine, the award-winning online publication that covers New York-area hip hop, presents The NY Hip Hop Report, a weekly "talk radio" show, which discusses hip hop with a NY state of mind.
For episode 051, one short of one full year, show hosts Manny Faces and Steven Ortiz will talk about hip hop from a big picture, thinking about the past year, current events and the greater pop culture landscape.
Of course, as always, they will slant the talk toward a NY-area perspective, and take calls from listeners, who often provide great commentary themselves.

The NY Hip Hop Report - NY Hip Hop & Politics
Tonight, we'll begin to explore the relationship between NY hip hop and politics, particularly in the wake of the swift and furious closing of the Rebel Diaz Arts Collective (RDACBX). While not necessarily related to politics, we'll talk with the folks at RDACBX to find out the future, and what they think the politicians in NYC need to do to respect positive hip hop arts.
