We must be careful to do self-care when we are in full possession of our personal power. Retreating means we have interpreted what is happening to us before it is too late. Retreating is a provisional move ‘before’ we have been drawn into an undesirable life situation. Retreating does not mean we abandon our path in fear of these negative forces. Rather, we retreat to make it difficult for these influences to continue to impact our lives. In this way we prepare, while retreating, for a counter-movement. Understanding the laws of a constructive retreat is the key.
