It’s the holiday season - the hustle and bustle at this time seems to occupy everyone with thoughts of gift giving, party going and preparations for the celebrations of whatever holiday we acknowledge at this time of year.
We have the freedom to celebrate and make merry whenever we choose.
OPERATION: NEXT CHAPTER is an initiative founded by Vietnam veteran and author Cym Lowell to support the men and women who sacrificed so much for our freedom in the Armed Forces.
Tune in to learn how the meaning of the gift giving season is shared all year round through this initiative, OPERATION: NEXT CHAPTER.
K920 is an “on demand” 3-point shooting challenge launched by OPERATION HAWKEYE to elevate awareness regarding the service and sacrifice of fallen Special Operations forces (SOF) military working dogs and their handlers in honor of U.S. Navy Petty Officer First Class John Douangdara and a brave military dog, a Belgian Malinois named Bart, both of whom were killed on August 6, 2011 when the Taliban shot down their CH-47 Chinook helicopter, call sign EXTORTION 17, in Afghanistan. In addition to Douangdara and Bart, 29 other American warriors died that day, along with seven Afghan commandos and a civilian interpreter, in what remains the largest single-day loss of life in Operation Enduring Freedom, and in the history of U.S. Naval Special Warfare. Douangdara, of South Sioux City, Nebraska, enlisted in February 2003. His initial service school training occurred at Norfolk, Virginia, before he joined the security detachment at Naval Air Station Sigonella, Italy, in June 2003. He later moved to Naval Submarine Base New London, Connecticut in August 2006 before joining his East Coast-based SEAL team in January 2008. Douangdara’s decorations include the Bronze Star with ‘V’ device; Joint Service Commendation Medal with ‘V’ device; Army Commendation Medal; Presidential Unit Citation; Good Conduct Medal; National Defense Service Medal; Afghanistan Campaign Medal; Iraq Campaign Medal; Global War on Terrorism Service Medal; Sea Service Deployment Ribbon; three Overseas Service Ribbons; Rifle Marksmanship Medal and the Pistol Marksmanship Medal.
The idea of union between everything (inside and out) is the subject of holding together. Harmonious union is secured by the authority of the ego, but we must ask if the ego is worthy of this position before we submit the total self to its control. Tune in tonight as Nancy Herold and I discuss how success in spiritual work is determined by the proper integration of these intrapsychic forces. When we feel separated and confused then we are off-balance. Willpower is the catalyst for unity but, do we have the requisite willpower to facilitate our goal of holding it together? This show teaches that there are many dimensions of awareness and the Work is to maintain benevolent (original intent) contact with them all. Psychologically, holding it together is actually the Self (or heart) surrounded by its many complexes. Though the human psyche has its own coherence, these inner complexes are continuously orbiting each other in cycles of change. Tune in as we discuss how we must respond to these changes consciously and coherently. In doing so, all of the forces eventually become synchronized with the soul’s intent. The ego’s responsibility is to do this in real-time (present tense) for the benefit of the Self. Learn tonight that it is important that we recognize the difference between our essential nature and the human ego. Ignoring this distinction is how the ego is falsely installed as our default compass.

Who owns the IEP process? Hear some insight from a special needs mom who's also a special education teacher.
Parents don't always realize how much work goes into an IEP, or how challenging it is for the teachers who write them.
Teachers don't always appreciate how lost parents can feel through the whole process.
Kids rarely get the full spectrum of services that will make for the most enriching educational experience possible.
Parents have to be the final driving force in the education of their child, because the only thing that will follow a child from pre-k to graduation is that IEP file and parental guidance.
Be sure to check out the IEP Aide from Vestidd, which will guide you through the important information on that IEP, and will allow you to store all of that paperwork easily, so that you can be the driving force and let that IEP grow with your child.

WHO IS THE GOD OF FORCES!!!!!!!!!!!!
And the king shall do according to his will; and he shall exalt himself, and magnify himself above every god, and shall speak marvellous things against the God of gods, and shall prosper till the indignation be accomplished: for that that is determined shall be done.
"He will show no regard for the gods of his fathers or for the desire of women, nor will he show regard for any other god; for he will magnify himself above them all. 38"But instead he will honor a god of fortresses, a god whom his fathers did not know; he will honor him with gold, silver, costly stones and treasures. 39"He will take action against the strongest of fortresses with the help of a foreign god; he will give great honor to those who acknowledge him and will cause them to rule over the many, and will parcel out land for a price.… Daniel 11:37-39
The identity of this "god" has been perplexing on a number of levels. For instance, in the first part of the passage it tells us this evil man does not worship "any god" but is said to "magnify himself above all." Yet the very next verse tells us hedoes "honor the god of forces." This seeming inconsistency is actually a significant clue as to the true identity of this enigmatic deity.
Do Not Let What Is happening in the World, Take your Faith and Eyes Away from God.
Keep your eyes on Jesus, who both began and finished this race we're in. Study how he did it. Because he never lost sight of where he was headed - that exhilarating finish in and with God - he could put up with anything along the way: cross, shame, whatever. And now he's there, in the place of honor, right alongside God.

Last month, IS denied reports that Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi had been killed or injured in an air strike
Lebanese security forces have detained a wife and son of Islamic State (IS) leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi near the border with Syria, the army says.
The pair, whose names were not given, were picked up by military intelligence after entering Lebanon 10 days ago.
The al-Safir newspaper reported that Baghdadi's wife was being questioned at the Lebanese defence ministry.
In June, Baghdadi was named the leader of the "caliphate" created by IS in the parts of Syria and Iraq it controls.
Last month, the group denied reports that he had been killed or injured in an air strike by US-led forces near the northern Iraqi city of Mosul.
It released an audio recording purportedly of Baghdadi in which he said the caliphate was expanding and called for "volcanoes of jihad" to erupt.

Join me and my special guest Stephanie Collins, as we discuss her struggles as a parent with special needs children and how writing down about her experiences was not only therapeutic, but led her to write a book. "With Angels Wings", tells the story of what she went through without romanticizing or glazing over the most difficult times. Her message is to tell the parents of special needs children that they are not alone, to give professionals working with these parents a perspective, and to give all others a glimpse into the world of special needs children.
