A 7 foot copper wound spear and the Name of Jesus? What kind of combination is that?
If you missed yesterday's broadcast, it is referring to the benefits that cutting a Blood Covenant bring.
When Henry Morton Stanley was looking for David Livingstone in Africa he encountered many war-like tribes. He 'cut the covenant' more than 50 times to gain safe passage through the 'Dark Continent'.
On one such occasion, as a token of the covenant, the chief wanted Stanley's only source of food: his white goat. The chief gave Stanley his 7-foot copper wound spear. Stanley thought he got the worse end of the deal. But he found later that everywhere he went and encountered a new tribe of people, they always submitted to him because of that spear.
When Jesus went back to heaven with His Blood He enacted a Covenant, was given all authority in heaven and earth, and then gave us His Name.
His Name to us is the 7-foot copper wound spear. It will take us through the fire, through the flood and through the legions of hell.
Going on today with this wonderful story: "A right to grace in the hardest place!"

Jarman first broke out in the entertainment industry (in 2007) when he was being sought after both by Transcontinental Records (responsible for signing N’sync, Backstreet boys, and Britney Spears) and Christian Dio of Caliber Records (who has done remixes Michael Jackson and Mary J. Blige) for a spot in the mix of their projects they were both working on separately. After much prayer he decided to work with Dio of Caliber Records in a boy band called UNITED. Through that time he was able to meet and work with people such as Andrea Martin (song writer/voice coach who has worked with Whitney Houston and Mariah Cary) and Glenn Douglas Packard (one of Britney Spear’s choreographers). Even though the boy band project folded due to some personal choices of some of the band members, his career continued to rise, with breakthrough performances that have broke down barriers for small-town boys everywhere.
Now it came about after the death of Saul, when David had returned from the slaughter of the Amalekites, that David remained two days in Ziklag. On the third day, behold, a man came out of the camp from Saul, with his clothes torn and dust on his head. And it came about when he came to David that he fell to the ground and prostrated himself. Then David said to him, “From where do you come?”
And he said to him, “I have escaped from the camp of Israel.” David said to him, “How did things go? Please tell me.” And he said, “The people have fled from the battle, and also many of the people have fallen and are dead; and Saul and Jonathan his son are dead also.” So David said to the young man who told him, “How do you know that Saul and his son Jonathan are dead?” The young man who told him said, “By chance I happened to be on Mount Gilboa, and behold, Saul was leaning on his spear.
And behold, the chariots and the horsemen pursued him closely. When he looked behind him, he saw me and called to me. And I said, ‘Here I am.’ He said to me, ‘Who are you?’ And I answered him, ‘I am an Amalekite.’ Then he said to me, ‘Please stand beside me and kill me, for agony has seized me because my life still lingers in me.’ So I stood beside him and killed him, because I knew that he could not live after he had fallen. And I took the crown which was on his head and the bracelet which was on his arm, and I have brought them here to my lord.”
Then David took hold of his clothes and tore them, and so also did all the men who were with him. They mourned and wept and fasted until evening for Saul and his son Jonathan and for the people of the Lord and the house of Israel, because they had fallen by the sword. David said to the young man who told him, “Where are you from?” And he answered, “I am the son...
This Eucharistic Miracle literally is taken from the foot of the cross. Saint Matthew the Evangelist, in describing the passion of the Lord Jesus Christ, says: “The centurion and the men with him who were keeping watch over Jesus feared greatly when they saw the earthquake and all that was happening, and they said, ‘Truly this was the Son of God!’” (Matthew 27:54).
St. Longinus was the Roman soldier who pierced the side of the Crucified Savior with a spear. He was the chief of the soldiers who were present at the Crucifixion of the Lord on Golgotha.
St. Longinus previously having been wounded in a past battle, he was blind in one eye. He was healed when he pierced the side of Jesus with his spear and some of the blood and water from Jesus fell into his eyes. Upon his healing, St. Longinus gives his profession of faith,“Truly this was the Son of God!” Recognizing the power of the Blood of Christ, gathered a portion of blood-soaked earth at the foot of the cross.
Having come to believe in the Savior, St. Longinus received Baptism from the apostles, and decided to leave military service. St Longinus secretly left Judea to preach about Jesus Christ the Son of God in his native land (Cappadocia), and two of his comrades followed him. He had always maintained the relic of the Blood of Christ taken from the foot of the cross.
St. Longinus had carried the relic of the Most Precious Blood of Christ to Mantua but in the process of time, was placed in a safe place and forgotten. Accordingly, it is reported that St Andrew, the disciple of Jesus and brother of St Peter, appeared in the dreams of two different seekers of the relic. As a result, the location of the Holy Blood in both the ninth and the eleventh centuries were located.
The history of Jamaica's music is a fascinating one, and seldom has a nation's pop music been so celebratory, political, and concerned with civil rights, all rolled into an upside-down one-drop rhythm that is as recognizable as it is pervasive. Part mento, part African drums, part American jazz, soul, and R&B, part a Marcus Garvey-derived treatise on human rights and repatriation, Jamaica's reggae is pop music with clear revolutionary goals, intent on dancing in the face of Babylon while forthrightly chanting it down. This Is Reggae Music hits most of the historical high points, including Jamaica's entry into the international pop market with early hits like Millie Small's "My Boy Lollipop" (arranged by the venerable Ernest Ranglin) and Desmond Dekker's "Israelites," following these up with key tracks from Jimmy Cliff's The Harder They Come soundtrack (including Cliff's own "Many Rivers to Cross," the Maytals' "Pressure Drop," the Melodians' "Rivers of Babylon," and the Slickers' immortal "Johnny Too Bad" and some early reggae gems like Marley's "Duppy Conqueror" (produced by Lee "Scratch" Perry), the Heptones' "Hypocrite," and Cliff's "Vietnam." The final disc finds reggae poised to take over the world (on the wings of one Bob Marley), and includes essential tracks like Delroy Wilson's "Better Must Come," Zap Pow's bit of reggae-meets-Stax, "This Is Reggae Music," Slim Smith's stunningly beautiful "The Time Has Come," and the concluding song, the classic Jack Ruby-produced "Marcus Garvey" by Burning Spear.www.crsradio.com www.caribbeanradio.com

One of my fondest memories with my father was standing on a beach in Jamaica a week before I was getting married. He and I witnessed a Jamaican headed out into the water with a spear in hand to catch fresh fish.
I can still hear my dad say, “Watch this son!” I replied, “Here you go with this wildlife stuff, mannn.” As we’re standing there drinking a Red Stripe, an hour later the patient native returned from the water with fish in hand.
My dad was very excited as the guy placed the fish onto the hot grill. At that point, I knew my dad had set this entire moment up.
He and I shared fresh grilled fish from the sea with the head of the fish still attached.
The moral of the story: Big Wheel taught me that I should go out and get that fish no matter how far out it may appear. Be EPIC and know when we acquire patience in life, everything we desire will appear.
