From the Pulpit: Life is Short, Eternity is Long
How often do we moderns think of death and eternity? Dare we ask, how often do Catholics think of death and eternity? As we live in a modern world and Western culture which does all it can to whitewash away death and eradicate the idea of eternity, we are in constant need to be reminded that we are pilgrims on this earth for what seems to us a long time, but in reality, is a very short sojourn before we must meet our Lord face-to-face for our judgment.
Tonight, we will hear a sermon on life and eternity, as well as a fiery confirmation sermon on the gifts of the Holy Ghost and an adherence to the true religion that His Excellency gave almost a decade ago in 2004. We consider these two sermons to be amongst the most powerful His Excellency has ever given.
Join us as His Excellency, Bishop Richard Williamson, delivers two hard-hitting and down-to-earth sermons in his usual fashion from some years gone by on topics that we Catholics need to hear. While the sermons may be dated, the content is just as relevant today as it was when it was preached.

This year the Jewish Sukkot (the Feast of Booths) began September 18th and ended a week later. Throughout Israel and in the backyards of synagogues and Jewish homes throughout the world, open-air shelters decked with palm leaves, vines and hanging fruits remind the Jewish People of their exodus from Egypt 3500 years ago. To most of the Church, it's all a quaint tradition but largely irrelevant. Yet to Saint Paul, it was a major theological concept that he used when he taught on our sojourn through this world, the resurrection of the body and life of the world to come. Unless Christians understand this " Jewish root " to thei pilgrimage and resurrection, they cannot fully understand the teachings of Paul in the Christian epistles, or their walk of faith.
