Our guest, Adrienne Bashista, is the co-editor of and contributor to the book Easy to Love but Hard to Raise: Real Parents, Challenging Kids, True Stories and she also runs the blog (easytolovebut.com) and Facebook group by the same name. She is also the managing editor of the blog A Mom's View of ADHD (adhdmomma.com) and has written about parenting children with invisible special needs for multiple publications, print and on-line. Along with Penny Williams, she is one of the founders of the Happy Mama Conference and Retreat, a weekend for moms of kids with "invisible" special needs, held in Raleigh, NC. She is also the director of Families Affected by Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder, and is a trainer for caregivers of people with FASD.

Single Parenting: How did we get here, How do we broke the
How often have you thought to yourself “I hope he or she doesn’t end up like me”. Single parenting is one of the hardest jobs you will ever have and then couple this with the fact that you are child, it get even harder. But this is an increasing reality that is ever growing. So I ask you parents how shall we fight this; with the word of God. We need to hold our children close and let them know that just as God changed me He can also change you too. Now in saying this to the children of today, what do we do with a generation that believes that it is ok to have sexual contact before marriage, and how do we convey to our children that it’s ok to wait; that it doesn’t make them weak but it in all essence make then all the more desirable. Tonight we will examine this closely
