1985's YOUNG SHERLOCK HOLMES was a heart-breaker for all involved. Produced by Steven Spielberg and Henry Winkler (yes, THAT one!), written by GREMLINS, THE GOONIES' Chris Columbus (who'd later direct the first two HARRY POTTERs), and helmed by Barry Levinson (RAIN MAN, THE NATURAL), it was a loose but loving adventure which speculated Holmes & Watson meeting as boarding school students who team to solve a series of terrifying murders on campus. Not a box office success at the time, it has since become a fan favorite which would also launch the filmic careers of the directors of BLADE and TOY STORY; and even serve as structural inspiration for J.K. Rowling's HARRY POTTER yarns. Includes film audio clips, as well as excerpts from Bruce Broughton's classic score, and archival interview commentary by Pixar / Disney Studio head John Lasseter - at the time responsible for the film's legendary signature FX sequence (one of the first via CGI) - the come-to-life "Stained Glass Warrior Knight".

Passes the eye ball test by a mile. A big, strong, and athletic tight end Gabe Holmes was selected to play in the College Gridiron Showcase in Arlington, Texas on January 31st.
On several occasions the displayed soft and made a couple acrobatic catches. Pretty impressive for a guy 6’6 and 258 pounds.
His senior season he finished sixth on the team in receptions (17), and was one of two players in the top six to average more than ten yards per reception.

This is a "Best Of" replay because my new book just came out. This is a fascinating show on the difference between seeing and actually observing, and many of the other habits and practices of Sherlock Holmes.
Science writer and psychologist Dr. Maria Konnikova draws on 21st century neuroscience and psychology to show how we can employ Holmes’ thought processes to unlock our own capacities for ever-present mindfulness, astute observation, and logical deduction in order to see more, live more rationally, and, in turn live smarter.

Learning at forty years of age, my great great grandfather was the most evil man to have ever lived. Perhaps the devil. Finding out the previous books and stories about HH Holmes were all wrong. Historically and factually incorrect. Burning inside with a need to know the truth about not who, but what I was, I gave everything up, all that I listed above, in order to determine the truth, and now, after years of intense research, being on the verge of solving the most infamous true crime mystery of all time.
