How it Will Skyrocket the Speed, Security, and Reliability of Your Computer Network
Is your business limping along using outdated computers or a peer-to-peer network that is constantly giving you problems? Are you planning on adding employees, opening a remote location or adding an additional office? Are you just sick and tired of dealing with conflicts, error messages, and breakdowns? If you are like most small businesses, you acquire desktop computers, phone systems, and software in a random, “buy-it-when-you-need-it” fashion as your business operations demand it.
But at some point, this patchwork of stopgap technology you’ve acquired is going to end up costing you more in downtime, system errors, breakdowns, and other problems than it would to rip out and replace everything.
If you’ve suddenly become aware that you’re at that stage of growth in your business, then you want to stop purchasing more software and hardware in a willy-nilly fashion and get serious about planning for your future growth and business operations so you don’t end up with a big pile of expensive hardware and software spaghetti that doesn’t meet your business needs.
They’re Not Just For Big Business Anymore
At one time, servers only made sense for large organizations because of their high cost and complexity. But today, there are very affordable and easy-to-implement server systems designed specifically for a growing small business. If you’re not absolutely certain that installing a server could help your business enough to justify the cost, here are 12 surefire signs that your business could definitely benefit from an upgrade.

People are looking to the Internet for help, including issues related to health and well-being. Many barriers are faced when seeking psychological help. Working online reduces travel hassles and time, potential parking challenges, childcare issues, and provides access for those with mobility difficulties. Online psychotherapy or telemental health has taken off parallel to the rise in telemedicine. Providing psychotherapy through live interactive videoconferencing has been found to be an effective way of providing mental health services to those in rural or under-served areas, and also for specialty areas of mental health (Novins DK, Weaver J, Shore J (2008). Therapists are now needing to pay close attention to several differences in Internet based therapy. Therapists need to have a specific consent for online services, either verbal or written, depending on their state licensure regulations. The use of screening tools (for example for depression or anxiety) can be used if transmitted on a confidential, secure server. Email is still not a completely secure mode of communication in most cases. Join Pec Indman EdD, MFT as we discuss telemental health and her work as the Director of ReGroup Therapy. This week, we talk about the dire situation for the people of Detroit, living under "emergency management" since Michigan's state government declared a financial emergency leading up to the city declaring bankruptcy last summer. We are joined by two guests to discuss this issue: Shamayim "Shu" Harris, founder and directress of the Moon Ministry and Project Goddess, and Carl Gibson, co-founder of US Uncut.
Shu is a minister, family woman, an entrepreneur, community activist and an eternal server of the people. As a founder of The Moon Ministry and Project Goddess, she serves the people of Highland Park and its surrounding areas. She is the proprietress of The Goddess Marketplace, an economic development initiative for women. Shu also serves as the Vice President of the Highland Park Housing Commission, as a Corporal for the Highland Park Police Reserve, and is the first woman Chaplain for the Highland Park Police Department. Her service and community activism spans over 25 years, specializing in the spiritual development and empowerment of women and young girls. Her current major project is the development of Avalon Village.
Carl is co-founder of US Uncut, a grassroots direct action movement that mobilized thousands of people against corporate tax dodging and budget cuts in over 100 cities in the months leading up to Occupy Wall Street. Carl and other US Uncut activists are featured in the Sundance-selected documentary, “We’re Not Broke,” which is currently available on Netflix. He is also the author of the new book, “How to Oust a Congressman,” based on his experiences organizing the ouster of a corrupt member of Congress in New Hampshire during the 2012 elections. Carl is a contributing editor for ReaderSupportedNews.org and Occupy.com, as well as an occasional contributor to MSNBC, RT, and HuffPost Live.

If you are someone who prizes good service and thinks it should be rewarded I would suggest that you not add the tip to your bill if you pay with a credit card.
The employer then has the right to withhold the tip from your server until they get paid and deduct taxes from it.
If you want to help the servers and hairdressers who work very hard for every penny, please tip in cash.
Tipping may disappear because everything is costing so much, but remember that servers are only rarely guaranteed minimum wage.
NOTE: THE Blogktalkradio.com server was corrupted and the podcast for this show will not play. You can hear a clean copy at Music Friday: www.blogtalkradio.com/musicfriday.
Dark Beauty will tell the legend of the Dark Angel who fell from grace and now rules an evil tower in an unknown land. Banished from heaven she is pulled down from grace above, falling deep into the woods of the dark primeval forest. With a broken wing she descends through twisted cathedral-like branches of trees. Dark Beauty, five supremely talented musicians who range from opera singer to a professor at the Manhattan School of Music have come together in a classically influenced, gothic alternative Progressive Rock band that will tell this tale in its concept album, “Fall From Grace”. This will be the first time anyone has ever heard it.
Joy Collins is a fourth generation vocalist who has seen a lot of life, both good and bad. After hitting bottom, she has gone through a metamorphosis, like a caterpillar into a butterfly, shaking off addictions, hitting bottom and finding love again. With a perfect pitch voice and lyrics and power than come from having lived the stories sings, she is ready to take the music world by storm. Joy has worked with some of the most sought after players in Nashville and is now stepping out and a strong, emerging country musician. Her new album , It Ain’t Just Music, is what country is about – life as it comes at you and we are proud to have her.

SPECIAL GUEST: Paul Exall, Consultant for environmental EM Technologies in Greater Manchester & Worldwide. His company offers products for EM technologies, based in East Manchester. From in house microbial composting systems, natural farming practices and remediation of polluted ground and waterways. Morff has a keen interest in the future well being of the planets eco systems and bio-sphere.
We are working to further the global remediation work initiated by professor Higa in the early 80's with EM technology in Greater Manchester. We adhere to the principles laid out by the Professor, co-operation, community responsibility and harmony between ourselves and our external environment.
What is EM?
EM consists of a wide variety of effective, beneficial and non-pathogenic micro-organisms produced through a natural fermentation process and not chemically synthesized or genetically engineered.
EM has no adverse effects on and is beneficial to plants, animals, and humans. EM lives off our waste. Their waste simply translates to a healthy environment for us in which EM becomes inactive.
EM has the potential to suppress putrefactive micro-organisms through lactic acid bacteria, similar to the production of cheese or yogurt. It creates re-animated surroundings through the process of fermentation instead of putrefaction.
Living organisms, as well as, inorganic materials are enabled with the means to impede deterioration through increased activity of active oxygen or free-radicals through which organisms degenerate and inorganic materials corrode. EM can be considered as an antioxidant.
