THE SANCTUARY FOR SENIOR DOGS is a nonprofit organization dedicated to the rescue, adoption, and lifelong care of senior dogs abandoned in shelters and pounds. All of our dogs live in Sanctuary-approved foster homes until a permanent home can be found. Senior dogs too ill to be adopted stay in a Sanctuary hospice foster home for life. All senior dogs are spayed or neutered prior to placement. Join me as I speak with Deborah Workman from the sanctuary and learn about all they do for senior dogs. They are located in Cleveland Ohio. www.SanctuaryforSeniorDogs.org
Your generous donation allows our work with the abandoned senior dog population to continue and to grow. Without your support, our work would not be possible.

Every dog is different, but there are some common themes that she has seen in over twelve years of working with dog behavior. Then Julie dives into the topic of leadership with your dog. What does it mean to be an authority to your dog? Are you supposed to be the "alpha"? Over 90% of Julie Forbes' private dog training clients have been women. Working with dogs brings up a lot around the topic of leaderhsip and women's relationship with their bodies. Tune in for this very informative and thought-provoking discussion. One of the greatest security measures that you can take comes in canine form. We have had dogs around since the ice age. Not for their good looks and demeanor. In particular I recommend the pit bull. Whatever that is. There are hundreds of brindled terrier mutts, Staffordshire terrier, bull terrier and American Staffordshire Terriers like my boy Baxter. Now I know I will get the knee jerk crowd that tells me how much they know about my dog and his behavior though they don’t even have dogs. Truth is there is no more loyal, loving and intelligent a breed.
