For Friday, 8/2/13, our program will focus on the outlying issues of self-esteem. We each have something we’re working through at any given point in our lives. How we view these issues, and then work to move forward through them often stems from our personal feelings about ourselves. During the hour, we’ll begin to look at issues we face that may affect our self-esteem from childhood through various stages of adulthood. These topics may includeUpbringing – Family relationships, cultures, religionsBullying – As a youth or an adultWeight – Gain or LossAbilities/Assets – And where we might be limitedEducation LevelComparison to OthersAging
Today on HELP! Relationships 102 we deal with the issue of building or in many cases rebuilding ones sense of self worth! We Christians who understand the power of faith in GOD can often miss how important it is to also have faith in one's self, in GO—as well!
Join us as we address this unaddressed issue!
Thus Self Confidence is about one’s abilities, while Self Esteem is about one’s sense of worth as a person. Let’s look at what this means through an example…
When you go for a job interview, self confidence is the quality that causes you to believe that the interviewer will find you qualified, and offer you a job. Self esteem is the quality that causes you to believe that you are a valuable person whose life is important — regardless of the opinion of the interviewer and of whether you are offered the job.
How to Gain Self Confidence
Those who believe they can do something
and those who believe they can’t
are both right.
– Henry Ford
Success consists of going from failure to failure without loss of enthusiasm.
– Winston Churchill
How Self Confidence and Self Esteem Reinforce Each Other
Trust yourself, then you will know how to live.
– Johann Wolfgang von Goethe
The future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams.
– Eleanor Roosevelt

Author Barbara Hofmeister will join us in a rebroadcast show from Germany as she discusses Self-Esteem from her perspective. She will also speak from her book "To Be Or Not To Be - The Choice is Yours." She says that it is her passion and purpose to help people build their self-esteem to the extent that they dare to make their dreams come true. - High Self-Esteem speaks to the level of integrity you have; real inner confrontations won; reconciling your inner self with your outer self which is the basis of this book. It is also about assessing our real courage and how honesty is attained and internalized. High self-esteem is much more than just feeling good about your self. It is reflected in your personality, your productivity at work and at home with your family, your character, your general way with people, and the spirit that you carry with you always.
Join Nicole as she discusses Self - Love. Please feel free to join in on the discussion. Nicole will be having a Self - Full Living workshop on Saturday, May 2, 2015. I, Nazim Rashid, Life Coach, Personal Development Specialist, Author and Radio Talk Show Host is covering the show today on Self Esteem based on my book Reconnected-How To Be A Mentor To Your Child-Self. Having a high self-esteem is essential to anyone’s growth and development. Having low self-esteem opens the doors to untold dark possibilities as those possibilities match how you feel. Self-esteem pertains to how you experience yourself, how you think and feel about yourself, not how other people think or feel about you. Genuine self-esteem is you trusting you, you believing in you, you having confidence in your own mind and in your own ability to judge; You experiencing yourself as deserving of happiness, you perceiving yourself as a decent, worthwhile lovable person. Often when you hear people talk about self-esteem, you hear simply that it means “how you feel.” This by itself is so misleading, for you can feel good by taking drugs or by having the adrenaline rush of robbing a bank. You can also feel good by listening to some surreptitious gossip, being involved in a drive-by shooting, or just watching a thrilling horror movie. You can tell where your self-esteem level is by your self-talk. Listen to this program and raise your self-value and change your self-talk. Get Reconnected by going to www.cloudsofabundance.com
