In this episode of The Red Light Sports Rant; presented by The Red Light Sports Network, Evan Witalison and Troy Otradovec will discuss the Big Ten Championship. Ohio State (11-1) and Wisconsin (10-2) play for the Big Ten Championship tonight, in Indianapolis. The biggest news surrounding this game is the injury, to starting quarterback J.T. Barrett. Barrett took over the job when Braxton Miller was injured, before the season. Cardale Jones will make his debut, against the Badgers. The Badgers are fourth, in the country, allowing only 16.8 points per game.
The Badgers enter this game ranked 11, in the AP poll, and are riding on the legs of Melvin Gordon. Gordon, a Heisman hopeful, will try to help the Badgers dash any hope that Ohio State has of being selected, for the College Football Playoff. Suprisingly, quarterback Joel Stave, passed for 215 yards and two touchdowns, against Minnesota.
On a individual side, Melvin Gordon is in the running for the Heisman Trophy, what does he need to do to impress the voters? Listen in or call the show.
We chat with our old friends Rich and Max at Buckaround to go through and break down the matchups and the storylines in the Ohio State-Wisconsin Big Ten Championship game, including the kind of QB Cardale Jones is, how Ohio State can stop Wisconsin's blitzes, preictions, and more. We also discuss Bo Pelini's firing at Nebraska, Jerry Kill at Minnesota, and a few other major Big Ten topics.
Short show for everyone tonight! We'll only have an hour of Bama-centric shenanigans since the producer has an exam to take. Having said that, Cary Clark and Drew DeArmond will be online and locked in to talk about the SEC Championship game, a bit of recruiting, and the upcoming College football playoff. The show starts at 8:00! Be there or be Auburn.
The Waiting Room with Dr. SEC of the SEC Fans Radio Network is having a special themed show supporting UAB.
We will discuss the SEC, ACC, BIG10, and PAC12 conference championship games as well as the BIG12 championship and any impact on the final College Football Playoff Rankings.
Each week our panelists will pick the best SEC game(s) of the week as well as highlight other notable NCAA games around the nation. This is a football podcast for those who like to discuss the X's and O's of the games.
