King Saul was rejected by God as king. He was disobedient therefore costing the lives of many people. Today we have many churches that gather but have been rejected by God. This message will be the acid test for you to identify if you are dwelling in a dry place. Where are your victories, peace of mind, healing and revelatory knowledge you should be experiencing? Allow this message to usher you into becoming an overcomer in Christ Jesus
Did we need that, or did we NEED that? Following a monumental letdown of a megafight in Mayweather-Pacquiao, boxing fans needed a nice weekend of boxing to recharge, and we got it. There were negatives to focus on -- like another fantastically inept failure by Texas referee Laurence Cole -- but it was mostly fun. This week on the newly-reworked Top Men Boxing Radio, James Foley of Bad Left Hook and boxing writer/historian Patrick Connor welcome back to the show Kelsey McCarson of Bleacher Report, The Sweet Science and The Boxing Channel. The topics? All things boxing. But more specifically, Saul "Canelo" Alvarez's destruction of James Kirkland, a recap of the #PBConCBS card that featured Omar Figueroa vs Ricky Burns and Jamie McDonnell vs Tomoki Kameda, and a preview of the upcoming HBO card featuring Gennady Golovkin vs Willie Monroe Jr and Roman Gonzalez vs Edgar Sosa. That's a lot of good stuff. Don't miss it. Thanks for tuning in!

Have you ever been thumbed so badly that you actually didn't get thumbed at all and Sergey Kovalev just knocked you out? That's what happened to Nadjib Mohammedi on HBO last weekend. But Jean Pascal winning a fun, albeit dubious decision over previously unbeaten Cuban Yunieski Gonzalez made up for it in terms of entertainment. That unanimous decision, though...
The real action, as everyone knows, will be on ESPN this Saturday. In the main event, Danny Garcia faces Paulie Malignaggi in his first official fight at welterweight. Courtesy of Premier Boxing Champions, of course. In the co-feature, Daniel Jacobs squares off against Sergio Mora -- yeah, the guy from The Contender -- for a belt and whatnot.
There were also fights in London that involved Billy Joe Saunders, Dereck Chisora and Frank Buglioni. Likely far more important was the signing of Gennady Golovkin vs David Lemieux, which might not be what everyone wants, but should be explosive anyway. Don't forget possible Floyd Mayweather vs Andre Berto news, possible Miguel Cotto vs Saul Alvarez news, and more.
And this week on Top Men Boxing Radio, Mike Baca of UCNlive joins the usual team of James Foley from Bad Left Hook, and The Fight City's Patrick Connor.
Thanks for tuning in!

A December fight against former welterweight titlist Joshua Clottey -- which was supposed to be the first on Alvarez's new contract with HBO -- was canceled because of Alvarez's lingering left ankle injury that he said has healed. Kirkland (32-1, 28 KOs), a 31-year-old southpaw from Austin, Texas, has not fought since a rousing sixth-round knockout of then-undefeated Glen Tapia in December 2013. Kirkland had management issues, legal problems and turned down various fights while also parting ways with longtime trainer Ann Wolfe to work with the tandem of Bay Bay McClinton and Rick Morones.
Undefeated light welterweight Frankie Gomez faces former champion Humberto Soto.
The 140-pound weight class is always filled with talented fighters, and Gomez could be ready to join that distinguished group. Soto should be his toughest test to date. Omar Figeroa vs Ricky Burns live on PBC.

Study Text: Acts 9:1-22
Key Verses: Acts 9:1-4
And Saul, yet breathing out threatenings and slaughter against the disciples of the Lord, went unto the high priest,
And desired of him letters to Damascus to the stnagogues, that if he found any of this way whether they were men or women,
he might bring them bound unto Jerusalem.
And as he journeyed, he came near Damascus: and suddenly there shined round about him a light from heaven:
And he fell to the earth, and heard a voice saying unto him, Saul, Saul, why persecutest thou me ?
1 Samuel 21, King Davd must be crazy going into his enemies homeland. It seems he will do anything to escape the evil King Saul. But what do you do when you run out of some place to run and hide. I guess you play crazy and act a nut. Thats exactly what King david did. But the question we must ask is did it help his situation. I think that answer is no, but i'm glad God has a plan that includes our craziest day.
Pastor Brad Morgan of New Life Beginnings Church in Pattison, TX Continues teaching from Psalm 18. Psalm 18 was written near the end of David's life to declare the faithfullness of God, but, actually the Psalm came to David the day that he was delivered from the hand of Saul.
With David, no one saw a king, but God saw a king. God is able to bring tremendous change in our lives. This change is a process. The change that causes us to find the assignement that God has for our lives comes with provision and blessing. In Proverbs 10:22 says, "The blessing of the Lord makes one rich, and He adds no sorrow with it and neither does toiling increasith." When we are working in the assignment the Lord has for us, the blessing of the Lord will cause us to be rich in all ways. Even Jesus increased in favor and stature with God and man (Luke 2:52).
Whatever God has called you to do (even if it is more than one thing), as we accept that calling we come into agreement with our assignment from God. No matter how hard the enemy attacks, you might want to quit, but the Spirit of God will tell you to stay with it. This was evidenced for David even in a time of great trial. In 1 Samuel 22:1-2 it says, "David therefore departed from there and escaped to the cave of Adullam. So when his brothers and all his father’s house heard it, they went down there to him. And everyone who was in distress, everyone who was in debt, and everyone who was discontented gathered to him. So he became captain over them. And there were about four hundred men with him. David was in agreement with his assignment to be a leader, a King.
Pastor Brad continues to teach from Psalm 18.
