Cherishing Children Theme - The Power of Music for Children with Emma Creed of Sound Affects.
Even before a baby is born they can hear and respond to sound. Mummies will choose various music to listen to, to move to, to relax to during pregnancy and birth. New mums will then spend hours connecting with their baby with lullabies, rhymes, tickles, bounces and other songs, strengthening bonds and creating comfort and joy. They may even join a music group and allow their children to participate in music making with other littlies.
These formative years are very important and will not only lay a foundation for development but also a lifetime of loving music.
As children grow older they may become involved in more formal music education through school music lessons, joining choir or having private instrumental tuition.
Music is unique among the areas of study available to children. Music education offers a vehicle of self-expression, self-revelation, expression of the emotions, the education of the whole person and the education of creativity through aesthetic experiences where children are able to encounter a feeling of peer acceptance.
Music education is concerned with the total development of human lives and making a positive difference in the quality of human existence. It is an essential part of life!
In this interview Emma will discuss the importance of music for children and share musical ways in which we can support our children in their total development.
Cherishing Children Theme - 'Are Your Programming Your Child To Be Depressed' with Tracey Carmichael of Happy Mind Formula.
Statistics show that depression affects 1 in 4 females and 1 in 6 males and it is predicted that 30% of young people will have an episode of mental illness by the age of 25.
Did you know that between the ages of 0-7 our children at an unconscious level are like sponges. This period known as the Imprint Period is where our children imprint and soak up all events that occur in their lives through sight, sounds, feelings, tastes and smells.
If you are in a depressed state as a parent then it is highly likely that you will imprint this state onto your children and program then into depression. Depression is not an illness. It is merely a state that can be easily reversed. Join Tracey Carmichael as she teaches you how to move from Depression to Happiness with the Happy Mind Formula to be an excellent role model for your children.

Cherishing Children Theme - "From Bullied to Brilliant – Discover Your Personal Power" with Karen Clarke of Powerful Positive People. Bullying is a problem and it needs attention. Up until now the focus has been on ‘stopping bullying’, ‘no more bullying’, ‘zero tolerance of bullying’ etc. This doesn’t and hasn’t worked. It is time for a new approach. Our book helps parents teach their children how to not only overcome bullying but to be inspired and energised by the experience. It is time to understand that it is only in the face of opposition that we truly get to demonstrate our value and worth. The world needs bullies so that people can see how valuable and powerful we are. It is time for a change and the time is now.
In this episode we chatted about bad PR & Sales pitches and how to tune your pitch so they make an impact + we touch on really great halloween costume ideas and some really bad geeky pickup lines! Tune IN!
