God wrote instructions for His people in stone with His own finger. What He wrote we call "The Ten Commandments". For the most part the Church teaches that only nine are valid today. Why? What scriptural basis exists for this? What does the Holy Bible really have to say about this matter? Has Satan blinded the minds of Christians on this subject?Join brother Jim in this critical teaching message about the Sabbath Day and God's expectation for the Church.
Most Christians believe the Sabbath Day is Sunday, the first day of the week. Most Christian’s don’t even observe it, why? Wasn't it created by God? If God created it, why do we not observe it? Did Christ observe it or did he do away with it and all the Old Testament laws? Was the Sabbath Day changed by God with the New Covenant under Jesus Christ or man to be on a different day? Come Joins as we discuss the Sabbath the Day of the Lord.

On the seventh day, the Creator rested from all His works; and at the same time He "blessed the seventh day, and sanctified it” (Genesis 2:1-3). That the seventh day was sanctified as a memorial is proved by the fact that the first word in the Sabbath commandment is "remember." Remember what? "Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy." What for? "For in six days the Lord made heaven and earth." The Sabbath is a memorial of His wonderful works which He "hath made ... to be remembered." -
in The Bible
It is an important and vital purpose for Sabbath services: to be taught and instructed by God. As the living Head of His Church (Colossians 1:18; Ephesians 5:23), Jesus Christ is teaching and educating His people in truth—much of this is done during weekly Sabbath services (Luke 4:16). Christ's custom of teaching and educating on the Sabbath day continues today. “Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and today, and forever” (Hebrews 13:8). Christ still teaches His Church on the Sabbath in this present day!
God's use of the Sabbath day to instruct man began with the first Sabbath after man's creation. “It is evident that the Eternal (who, in human flesh later became Christ) first preached to man on the first Sabbath. Adam was created on the sixth day of creation week. Evidently he was created in the late afternoon, since the creation of man was the last act of creation on that day. When the sun had set, immediately after Adam’s creation, God preached to him, offering him the gift of eternal life (through the tree of life), and warning that the wages of sin is death (Genesis 2:15-17)” (Which Day Is the Christian Sabbath?). This is a wonderful truth revealed in your Bible!
I asked the meaning of the shaking I had seen, and was shown that it would be caused by the straight testimony called forth by the counsel of the True Witness to the Laodiceans. This will have its effect upon the heart of the receiver, and will lead him to exalt the standard and pour forth the straight truth. Some will not bear this straight testimony. They will rise up against it, and this will cause a shaking among God's people.--1T 181 (1857).
Moreover also I gave them my sabbaths, to be a sign between me and them, that they might know that I am the Lord that sanctify them. Ezekiel 20:12.
As the Sabbath was the sign that distinguished Israel when they came out of Egypt to enter the earthly Canaan, so it is the sign that now distinguishes God’s people as they come out from the world to enter the heavenly rest.
The observance of the Sabbath is the means ordained by God of preserving a knowledge of Himself and of distinguishing between His loyal subjects and the transgressors of His law.
It [the Sabbath] belongs to Christ.... Since He made all things, He made the Sabbath. By Him it was set apart as a memorial of the work of creation. It points to Him as both the Creator and the Sanctifier. It declares that He who created all things in heaven and in earth, and by whom all things hold together, is the head of the church, and that by His power we are reconciled to God. For, speaking of Israel, He said, “I gave them my sabbaths, to be a sign between me and them, that they might know that I am the Lord that sanctify them”—make them holy. Then the Sabbath is a sign of Christ’s power to make us holy. And it is given to all whom Christ makes holy. As a sign of His sanctifying power, the Sabbath is given to all who through Christ become a part of the Israel of God....
Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy. Exodus 20:8.
At the very beginning of the fourth commandment the Lord said, “Remember.” He knew that amid the multitude of cares and perplexities man would be tempted to excuse himself from meeting the full requirement of the law, or would forget its sacred importance. Therefore He said: “Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy.”
All through the week we are to have the Sabbath in mind and be making preparation to keep it according to the commandment....
When the Sabbath is thus remembered, the temporal will not be allowed to encroach upon the spiritual. No duty pertaining to the six working days will be left for the Sabbath. During the week our energies will not be so exhausted in temporal labor that on the day when the Lord rested and was refreshed we shall be too weary to engage in His service....
On Friday let the preparation for the Sabbath be completed. See that all the clothing is in readiness and that all the cooking is done.... The Sabbath is not to be given to the repairing of garments, to the cooking of food, to pleasure seeking, or to any other worldly employment. Before the setting of the sun let all secular work be laid aside and all secular papers be put out of sight. Parents, explain your work and its purpose to your children, and let them share in your preparation to keep the Sabbath according to the commandment.
We will investigate the sabbath day and look from another point of view on why it is holy and why it separated the Kingdom of God citizens from the other empires of the world. The sabbath day importance and significance have not been fully understood and explained by some. The Sabbath is more than some religious cultis ritual (for the Jews) but the sabbath day is a day of liberty. The masses have ignorantly fought and lost their lives for a sabbath day. Lets look further into this analysis.
