Hello folks,  Nancy here and happy to announce my next episode will continue on the topic of my Broadcasting experiences with www.hamiltonradio.net spanning over two wonderful years.  I began right here with blogtalkradio and then was asked to join Hamilto Radio. I learned so much working with this radio station which by the way was nominated "Best Internet Radio Station in Support of Live Music" at the most recent Music Awards in Asbury Park, NJ.   I am excited to tell everyone that I will be hosting my (one hour live talk radio shows) with special Guest interviews via Hamilton Radio starting this month.  So actually, I took two whole weeks off thinking I would take a few months to write my book.  hehehe  What can I say bottom line is love doing my MUSIC and you can find me at http://www.reverbnation.com/nancyryan, however, I totally LOVE broadcasting!  "It is my thing and really floats my boat"!  Speaking of Boats, my Dad build "RYAN SEA SKIFFS" for 13 years before becoming Superintendent of a large construction company based in my hometown of Asbury Park, NJ.  Hence my cliche regarding what floats my boat....Hope you enjoy my blogtalkradio show as well as my "RYAN ROCKS IT ASBURY PARK STYLE" special Guest interview shows with HAMILTON RADIO.  So stay tuned for FUN, FUN, FUN with me doing solo shows as well as me doing shows with my very special guests.  Peace, Nancy  <3

A show where people can share their experiences as kids growing up.  School experiences, first date, first car, first anythiing!  These exchanges of memories will hope to evoke Happiness & Laughter, so all funny stories are absolutely welcomed and necessary.  My shows are the second and fourth Thursday evenings of each month at 5:30 PM.  So please join me for 1/2 hour of  FUN, FUN, FUN as I explore other peoples experiences and share some of my own.

Professional Boxer Ryan Kielczweski (22-1, 6 KOs) joins our broadcast tonight. The Quincy, Massachusetts fighter just appeared on last Friday's ESPN Friday Night fights in a controversial bout against Danny Aquino (17-2, 10 KOs). Aquino, who hails from the same state as the Mohegan Sun venue, took away a split decision victory with two judges scoring the bout 78-74 in his favor and the other judge giving it to Ryan by the same score. We'll talk with Ryan about his career so far and what's next for the 25-year-old Super Featherweight. Tom, Tony and Rich will also cover one of the biggest weekends in combat sports history. There were so many fights going on all over the world that the Fight News Unlimited server crashed multiple times between Friday night and Monday morning. From the Rockhold vs. Machida UFC fight card on Fox to the "fight of the year" caliber boxing brawl between Lucas Matthysse and Ruslan Provodnikov, there was plenty of action going on in cages and rings all across the universe. We'll try to recap it all, talk to Ryan and look forward to the week ahead on this show.

Burial Site Preservation in New Orleans with Dr. D. Ryan Gray

    in History

Holt Cemetery, New Orleans’ still-active potter’s field, has been a subject of concern for many groups in recent years.  Families with loved ones interred there have been worried about neglect and misuse of the cemetery, even as the city has periodically discussed closing the overcrowded space to new burials.  At the same time, visitors have frequently been impressed with the variety of unique votive and grave-marking techniques visible in the space; evidence of these mourning practices and decorative traditions are also being lost.  Dr. Gray will discuss the historical and cultural significance of Holt Cemetery, along with plans for the creation of a digital database that will balance both the needs of those with personal connections to Holt and the interests of others concerned about its long-term

Dr. Ryan Gray is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Anthropology at the University of New Orleans specializing in historical archaeology. Before receiving his doctorate from the University of Chicago, Dr. Gray was employed for 10 years doing private sector work in cultural resource management with a focus on urban sites. His work examines race, segregation, auto-construction, and urban development in the post-Emancipation South.
