Ryan Mauro is the National Security Analyst for RadicalIslam.org, a project of the Clarion Fund, which produced the blockbuster films, “The Third Jihad,” “Obsession” and “Iranium.” He is also a frequent analyst on FOX News Channel. Mauro founded his personal Web site, WorldThreats.com, in 2003. He is a consultant to government agencies and an adjunct professor. He’s also a national security writer for Family Security Matters and a strategic analyst with Wikistrat.His analysis and research has been widely published and is featured at FrontPage Magazine. His work often appears in PJ Media and has been in the peer-reviewed journal, Middle East Quarterly. He has been quoted and cited in multiple books and newspapers, including the New York Times and Reuters. Mauro was originally hired in 2002 at age 16 to be a geopolitical analyst for Tactical Defense Concepts, a maritime-related security group, believed to be the youngest hired geopolitical analyst at that time. Mauro’s reports were often forwarded to members of the law enforcement and intelligence communities with great response. Ryan Mauro: New Syrian Rebel Leader Was CAIR Official
Ryan Mauro of Radical Islam.org joins us to discuss Syria. He reports that the newly elected rebel Prime Minister Ghassan Hitto, a Syrian-American, “was backed by the Syrian Muslim Brotherhood and was a Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) official, a U.S. Muslim Brotherhood entity.”
But wait, it gets better: “U.S. ambassador to Syria Robert Ford just told the House Foreign Affairs Committee not to worry because he believes Hitto “is more Texan than Muslim Brotherhood” based on two meetings they had.” Neither the Free Syrian Army nor the Islamist rebels have been fooled.
