On the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the cult film The Birds, actress Tippi Hedren reveals how director Alfred Hitchcock not only made her a star, but ultimately vindictively ruined her career.
This Q&A, moderated by well-known radio talent Dan McGrath, took place at the Camelot Theatres in Palm Springs, California.
Among Hedren's proudest accomplishments (in addition to her daughter, Academy Award-winning actress Melanie Griffith), is founding The Roar Foundation in 1983 to support abandoned exotic felines at the Shambala Preserve.

About "Green Light For Murder": A mad director, off his meds, is making a movie about how he murders the producers who ruined his career. The movie is in his mind. The murders are real.
Tommy Veasy, a pot-smoking homicide detective--our hero--who writes poetry to help him solve cases and ward off despair, thinks he sees a pattern in these seemingly accidental deaths. His colleagues think he's being dramatic.
But the bodies keep piling up.
The staff of a syndicated TV show in its tenth year, formerly an international hit but now only being aired in Montenegro and Botswana, worries about how they will maintain their Hollywood lifestyles when they become unemployable. How will the producer finance his two-hooker-a-weekend habit? How will the staff writer pay private school tuition, an underwater mortgage, tennis club dues, the housekeeper, the gardener, cable TV bills, the couples' therapist, et al.?
Not a big problem: the mad director has planted a bomb in the office phone and is frantically trying to set it off.
And meanwhile, a home invader keeps invading the wrong homes, to everyone's perplexity.
In other words: it's just another day in paradise.

It’s time to burn some muscle with the Scottscope roundtable. This week, we set our sights on the infamous “Sun Gym Gang” with our review of Pain & Gain! Why would Michael Bay decide to make a crime film at this point in his career? Was it a mistake for him to do so? Should he simply stick to his strengths instead of trying to grow as a filmmaker? Is this film truly a departure from his usual fare? Is it yet another exercise in empty stylistic excess? Is it an admirable failure, or an ego-driven debacle? Ok.... so I am going to give this show a 3rd shot. Let's hope the 3rd time is the charm. This is the show that I have not had luck with. 1RST time the Phone died, and the 2nd time we had a sick pervert caller that ruined the show and I had to reschedule. Let's hope it works today.
On this special episode I will be talking all about cookies. I was suppose to have this show last week,but we had a inapporiate caller. Just my luck, but I am bringing it to you this week .. Cookies are that one bakery item that everyone has to have. Cookies are also a big hit around holidays. On this show I will be disscussing what a cookie is, the different types of cookies (bar, drop, rolled, etc.), the different kinds of cookies, and basic cookie ingredients. I also will be discussing the mixing method used for cookies and other baked goods. The Creaming method. One of my favorite mixing methods. I will be giving out my peanut butter m@m cookies, white chocolate chip cookies, red velvet cookies, and even my delicious pb kisses blossom cookie recipe.
