Meet the Directors
Rudy and Anna Trussler have directed BSSD since 2010. With the combined experience of over twenty years in ministry, they share a passion to see people discover their identities and destinies in Christ. Rudy, author of “Mud, Blood and Cardboard,” brings a father’s heart and a value for transparency to the student experience. Anna is the head of BSSD’s Inner Healing department and loves to see people healed and set free from emotional pain and lies.

We all live a life of decisions that we've had to make for ourselves, make for others and decisions made for us. This is all a part of our life's journey.
And along with all of that comes pain, joy, regrets, pride, guilt/shame, happiness/fullfilment, etc...
We will explore the aspects of life that bring about growth, healing, worse and/or positive conditions... The hope is that we are strengthened and gain more wisdom from the hurt and challenges that we've all faced.

Brevity’s not only the soul of wit, but of wedding toasts too. “There’s a funny story that happened last year at a wedding I was catering. The bride was terrified that her brother and dad would go on forever with their speeches at the reception—and of course say something inappropriate,” John Rudy of Food For Thought tells The Wedding 101 Show host David Rothstein. “We told her, ‘We can help them. We’ve got outlines that are perfectly suited to giving a wedding toast. It’s a foolproof way of making sure they stick to the script.’ She said, ‘They’re not going to use it, but give it to me anyway.’ So we gave the brother and dad the outline—these guys were not public speakers—and they said, ‘This is great. We would’ve gotten up there and fumbled all over ourselves.’ They got through the toast in under two minutes.”

This is one of the most powerful scenes in the film. The number of Asian/Chinese coming across the border is rarely mentioned. But if you stop and consider the implications you will likely come to the same conclusion as many of us already have. An unsecured southern border presents a clear and present danger to all of us and this specific threat has little to do with cheap labor.
