This week's show is our last regular episode of 2014, as Christmas Eve will be our "Best of Canadian Musician Radio 2014" edition, followed by our New Year's Eve "What's Hot for 2015" edition. Closing out 2014, we've got both Street Pharmacy and Trevor Guthrie on the program.
Ryan Guay, the mind behind Street Pharmacy, is set to drop his next full-length, Pharmanomics, in early January 2015. The album takes influence from the worlds of reggae, rock, ska, and early hip hop and features collaborations with a cool list of producers, including ex-illScarlett members Johnny Doherty and Will Marr, Gavin Brown (Billy Talent, Metric), and Adam Tune (Keys N Krates).
As for Trevor Guthrie, after first coming into the industry with soulDecision in the mid-'90s, the well-known songwriter and performer has seen his solo career take off since 2013, after he was featured on Armin van Buuren's track "This Is What It Feels Like" and Markus Schulz's "Until It's Gone." Mike catches up with Trevor about his current projects and what's in store for the new year.
Tonight, your host Dave "The Butcher" Clifford welcomes the UFL's owner Joe Shaw on first, inside the Genco Boots studios for ACSLIVE.TV. Many people are aware that Hollywood is preparing to release the new movie, "Straight Outta Compton" in August of 2015. This is about the birth of the gangsta rap group NWA. This film is designed to prevent Black people from breaking through self-hatred of the past 25 years and emerging from our deep Negro slumper. When we awaken and produce this next Black power movement, it will be an international war for our survival. And we will identify our enemies on this planet and prepare for global warfare.
That is unless they can use the same tactics that they've used for the past 2 1/2 decades to keep us locked into self-destruction. So they are using their militant white-sex (homosexuality and pedophilia) assault, mass incarceration, mass vaccinations (chemical warfare), miscegenation, etc . . . to kill us off before we awaken and prepare to fight for our global survival.
In the 21st Century, whites are recycling the most effective psychological tools of warfare that they've used against the Black Race. First they recycled the "Color Purple" in order to keep Black women in a state of feminism, lesbianism, and intense Black man-hatred. Then they came out with "Precious" which was the updated version of "Color Purple"; but this version was designed to destroy the Black woman's image along with the Black man's image.
This current media onslaught is their last ditch effor to kill any emerging Black Power Movement. If they can recapture our youth (and the adults trapped in a perpetual state of adolescence), then our people are doomed and we will not make it out of the 21st Century. If we get ourselves together and escape falling for this same trick again, then 2015 will be the year for the awakening of the global Afrikan mind.
Overcoming a breakup can be a real challenge. Often, to be successful in the next relationship, we must understand the parts of us that broke up, too. Learning to recognize, evaluate, and change the negative patterns that repeatedly show up in our relationships is hard, but with some research, introspection, and practice, it’s possible to take a step forward and get back out there.
As with anything, re-entering the dating scene is a process. In Getting Back Out There, a sequel of sorts to her book Getting Past Your Break Up, Susan J. Elliott outlines the pains and gains inherent in facing the dating scene again. With insight into the “Five Rs”—Readiness, Rejection, Recycling, Rebounding, and Retreating—Elliott illuminates the bumps we can expect on the road to a new relationship, and shows us how to cope with them.
In this segment of The Organic View Radio Show, host, June Stoyer, talks to author, Susan Elliot about her new book, Getting Back Out ThereSecrets to Successful Dating and Finding Real Love after the Big Breakup. Stay tuned!
