    Rory Vaden: Take The Stairs

    in Business

Self-Discipline Strategist, Co-founder of Southwestern Consulting, and author of Take The Stairs, Rory Vaden describes overcoming procrastination is so critical for optimizing individual output and achievement. Rory Vaden shares the insight that successful people all share the common trait of getting things done, even if they don't feel like doing them. Rory presents the difference as successful people being willing to take the stairs while the less successful waste time trying to find the escalator. To overcome the challenge of procrastination, Rory shares his seven principles of self-discipline. While Rory considers procrastination to be a habit, he guides you to replacing that bad habit with the productive habit of self-discipline to achieve your goals.

Rory Vaden - Author of Procrastinate on Purpose

    in Business

Rory Vaden is the author of the NY Times bestseller Take The Stairs: 7 Steps to Achieving True Success. He's also co-founder of the international training company Southwestern Consulting. He's a much sought-after keynote speaker, consultant and has been interviewed  on Oprah Radio, Fox News, Wall Street Journal, Fast Company, Inc., and now here.

We're going to talk about his latest book  - I predict it's another NY TImes bestseller. The title is Procrastinate on Purpose: 5 Permissions to Multiply Your Time. In his book, Rory offers no to-do list wizardry, no ways to be a checklist ninja. Instead he offers ways for us to identify and focus on what's important, say no to the things that don't matter and yes to those that do.

Dave Ramsey, a fellow NY Times best-selling author and host of his own nationally syndicated radio show, says: Rory builds on what we've all heard about time management and adds the two things ... missing: emotion and significance.

Seth Godin wrote: A brilliant insight turned into an actionable method. Start now!

Come find out about those two things, why they mean so much  and the five  permissions to multiply your. Together, they can help you 'gain control and inner peace by adopting the 'multiplier mindset.'  that together will help you.

  • Rory Gardiner, Ghost Road, Hicks

    in Music

Ottawa's RORY GARDINER's latest single is called "My Kind Of Crowd." Country music became a full time commitment in 2007, after appearing on a CMT nationally broadcasted reality show with other singers from around the country. This spun into a guest appearance on the CMT the Top 20 countdown with Casey Clarke the following year. Rory recently released "Yee-Haw" which is a children's album of ten original 'children' country songs. His last single "On My Way" (co-written with Tim Hicks) is the new song for WildTV's Fall Brawl Hunting show. This talented Ontario Country artist is currently working on a bluegrass album and will open for Keith Urban next month.

GHOST ROAD is a country rock band that hails from Southern Ontario. Many players have come and gone over the years, but it has been the three founding members (Jeff Little, John Fair and Les Graham) that have been the band's foundation since its inception in 1996. Ghost Road has produced several small recording projects over the years but it wasn’t until the year 2000 that the band released its first full length album: “Where the Highway Goes”. This project was a collection of all original songs that was well received by the critics and fans alike.

HICKS (Miqael Persson) is an award-winning songwriter from the south of Sweden, with multiple Gold and Platinum records to his credit. His rock-edged songs have been recorded by artists like Jimi Jamison (Survivor), Giant (Dann Huff), Bobby Kimball (Toto), Little River Band, and many other Grammy-winning artists. He has been nominated for the New Music Awards, International Music and Entertainment Association awards, and the Nashville Universe Awards. Hicks is the first Swedish act to chart on the Music Row Country Breakout Chart. His current single is “I Belong To You.”
