When the Delta Foundation announced their headliner entertainer wass Iggy Azalea, many in the Western PA area were outraged and many LGBTQ persons of color felt especially alienated from Pittsburgh Pride. However, the selection of Azalea was just the last in a long list of incidents which leave many feeling as if the Delta Foundation doesn't care about the local LGBTQ community, but rather organizes Pride for white cis males alone. From the outrage came the organization of Roots Pride Pittsburgh.
My guest for this episode is Joy KMT, one of the co-organizers for the protest against Delta and the organizing effort to form Roots Pride Pittsburgh. We will talk about the Iggy controversy, and how a grassroots oriented Pride will serve Western PA's LGBTQAI com munity.

The US is in a state of perpetual war across the world, the human and economic costs of which are incalculable. The Global War of Terror can only end if Americans demand it. That is not likely to happen until they understand the root causes of war and its bastard twin, spying on other nations and the government's own citizens. When the people of the US realize that war is not inevitable, they can render it unthinkable.
In this show, organizational psychologist Dr Gary Brumback discusses the results of his research into the roots of warring and spying and outlines a plan to organize to end them. The interview covers only a small part of the information in his newst book Warring and Spying: America's Second Oldest Professions.
This show will be rebroadcast on April 4 at 9 AM PST/ 12 PM EST on the Star Com Radio Network.

Imagine what courage it took for that band of Black brothers and sisters to get up and walk out of St George’s Methodist Episcopal Church in 1787. It took guts, bravery and wisdom, not knowing what would happen next. But their faith intervened, and from that day forward the Free African Society would plant roots into great denominations like mine, The African Methodist Episcopal Church…AME.
I have been a member of the AME Church my entire life. My family’s heritage goes back 150 years in this church with two ancestral Bishops whose pictures hang on the wall of our Mother Bethel Church in Philadelphia.
In light of the recent events at Mother Emanuel AME Church in Charleston, South Carolina and the historic eulogy delivered by President Barack Obama, we’ll bring you the highlights of a church that dates back to the early years of the American journey.
