Are you constantly saying Oh, I'm sorry -- for this or that? What is all of this apologizing all about????? Even the Catholic Church has a whole doctrine on Apologetics. Let's look at this tonight and see what we can find out that will be helpful --- or hurtful -- or just plain true about always apologizing!!!

7.1% of women and 4.4% of men were estimated to have experienced domestic abuse in the last year 2013 - present, according to the ManKind Initiative. Given such high numbers one has to wonder wonder whether the abusers will always be abusers? Who are they? Can they actually be reformed?
Listen to me talk to Colin Fitzgerald of RESPECT, UK about this and so much more.
Colin Fitzgerald has years of experience delivering individual work and group work with men addressing their violence and abuse to partners. He helped to develop the Violence Prevention Programme Project provided by Domestic Violence Intervention Project (DVIP) in Southwark, London, and has worked as a group facilitator on the Integrated Domestic Abuse Programme for the London Probation Service. He has also delivered specialist parenting programmes for fathers who have abused their children.
In addition, Colin carries out specialist domestic violence risk assessments where domestic violence is a child protection concern for social services. He has attended numerous child protection conferences as an expert on working with domestic violence perpetrators.
Prior to working with domestic violence perpetrators, Colin worked as a mental health practitioner. He has over 16 years of experience in providing a variety of group-based interventions in community settings. He currently represents Respect on Violence Against Women and Girls (VAWG) panels at the Home Office & the Mayor’s Office for Police and Crime (MOPAC) and he’s qualified as an assessor for Respect’s accreditation project.
