In The Streets with Beverley Smith: Lies, Lies, and More Lies (Episode 48)

    in Politics

The video footage of Jamar Clark's shooting was released, showing that the police lied about the teenager lunging at them with a knife. Prosecutor Anita Alverez appears to be lying when she insists that although 88 minutes of the Burger King surveillance video is missing, no one tampered with the tape. Why is she covering for the police? Still photos of two police officers sitting at computers inside the Burger King office have surfaced despite official denials that the police interfered with the footage. Check out "In the Streets" Facebook page to see those photos as well as the video tootage showing Jamar Clark gunned down. Jason Van Dyke's defense lawyer says the video doesn't show the entire story because the footage is only 2-dimensional. Chicago Mayor Rahm Emmanuel helped suppress this video for a full year while he was running for reelection. A Planned Parenthood clinic in Colorado was under a terrorist seige where three people, including a police officer, were killed by a Christian extremist. Unsurprisingly, the Caucasian gunman was apprehended, unharmed, by the police. The media, while regularly demonizing minority victims as "criminals", is taking great care to paint this Caucasian mass murderer in a favorable light. Conservatives across the nation have defended this terrorist crime, citing popular lies regarding Planned Parenthood. Donald Trump lied about a meeting with black ministers who he claimed intended to endorse his candidacy. As they publicly denied their support, Trump claimed a "miscommunication". The meeting took place as scheduled, with fewer in attendance than Trump originally boasted. It remains to be seen how many, other than the organizer, will endorse Trump, Frustrated with the inaction of Prosecutor McGinty, who seems to be dragging his heels regarding justice for Tamir Rice, the Rice family released their own independent experts' reports. And more. Tuesday, December 1, 6pm Pacific.

And then there were four, school board member Manny Martinez, former Council candidates Bernard Jones and Mike Jackson as well as newcomer Veronica Ovalles.  Also on the ballot is the Recreation Tax that has Homeowners furious with the Mayor and his administration. Oh yes and the Assemblymen Benji Wimberly and Shavonda Sumter plus the Freeholders are running for reelection on the Democratic ticket. There has not been much said about the Republican candidates but they are there. Seats for the school board are available and it is gonna be close

Interview with Chief of Staff Joy Davis

    in US Government

This week we interviewed the Chief of Staff for my State Representative here in Texas.  Joy Davis generously gave us about 30 minutes of her time as we discussed some of the general challenges in running a State Legislator's office and schedule.  We then specifically discussed the best methods of communicating with our State Legislators, how to not only get their attention, but also to keep their attention.  Joy worked in 2013-14 as DeWayne Burns' campaign manager, and then after winning election in November of 2014, transferred into her role as his Chief of Staff during Representative Burns' (R, TX, HD 58) freshman legislative session.  She continues in her role as Chief of Staff, as well as again managing another campaign as Representative Burns seeks reelection in 2016.

For time and continuity sake, we will forego our normal news update during this podcast.  However, weather being what it is this weekend in Texas, I may well host a bonus "news only" episode on Sunday late afternoon.

There should, however, be some time for phone calls after the interview segment.

    in Politics Conservative

Joining Audrey for this week's REELTalk - The Muslim Tsunami continues across Europe…and only Eastern bloc countries…the ones who recognize totalitarian oppression…are pushing back. Why are these European countries allowing this flood…disguised as refugees…into their nations and onto their welfare rolls? We'll find out with MONA WALTER, direct from Sweden! PLUS, many of us recall Obama’s hot mic moment (with Medvedev) before his reelection when he promised flexibility with Russia…apparently, Putin isn’t providing a quid pro quo…and is leaving Obama OUT of his accord concerning Syria. Has Obama caused us to shrink on the World Stage? We'll discuss that and more with Col. PATRICK MURRAY!! And, the siege upon the EU by majority migrants, 85% male…posing as refugees, appears to be interminable. Will the rest of the West be overrun next? Why are European leaders committing demographic suicide? In the West have been warned about Marxism…but while we’ve been distracted by various anti-freedom entities…have we actually adopted many Marxist ideas? We'll find answers direct from South Africa with Dr. PETER HAMMOND!! In the words of Benjamin Franklin, "If we do not hang together, we shall surely hang separately." Come hang with us...
