When the clock struck zero last Thursday night it looked like the Green Bay Packers were about to drop to 7-5 on the season, but thanks to a 15 yard face mask penalty on the Lions the Packers got another chance to secure the victory and they took advantage of it with an Aaron Rodgers Hail Mary to tight end Richard Rodgers to give the Packers the win and improve their record to 8-4. This week the Dallas Cowboys come to town riding high after their victory over the Washington Redskins
The Cowboys come in at 4-8 and a game out of first place in the weak NFC East division. Missing Tony Romo for all but a few games this year, things are not going the way the Cowboys hoped coming into the season and now it is up to Matt Cassel to lead the Cowboys into Lambeau Field. The Cowboys are looking for revenge from last season divisional round playoff game where Cowboy fans and players feel they had the game robbed from them when a pass to Dez Bryant was called incomplete after it was reviewed by the officials.
Will the Packers use last weeks victory as a spring board to their quest for championship number 14 and get the offense back on track or will the Cowboys get their revenge?

In this episode of The Red Light Sports Rant; presented by The Red Light Sports Network, Evan Witalison and Troy Otradovec are going to break down a topic that has really got them upset this week. Coaches are leaving programs, and that is part of the business. However, how are they going about this? Are they doing it the right way, or are they going behind everyone's back? Coaching is a business and you have to do what is best for yourself, but when you sign a contract and then want to coach somewhere else, what is the proper way to do this? Listen to Evan and Troy rant about this today.
The Patriots, Seahawks, and Colts all moved on to their conferance title game along with Green Bay and Evan and Troy will talk about the other three games from the NFL Divisional Round.
Also, Ohio State won the first National Title under the new playoff system and Evan and Troy will break down this game, talk about what it means for the Big 10 and disucss what Cardale Jones should do.
This and more on Hot Topic Tuesday at the Red Light Sports Ramble
In week 16, the Green Bay Packers visited the Arizona Cardinals. They left the desert battered, bruised, and searching for some confidence. After a scoreless first quarter, the Cardinals finished the half with a seven play, 80 yard drive to take a commanding 17-0 lead after Aaron Rodgers threw a red zone interception. This turnover happened with under two minutes left in the half and was the turning point, in the game. With the score 10-0, the Packers were driving and ready to cut into the lead before the half. Not only did the Packers come away with no points, the Cardinals increased the lead.
The second half did not get much better. Rodgers lost two fumbles that were returned for touchdowns and the Cardinals were never threatened. The blowout loss fell clearly on the offense as the Cardinals defense outscored the Packers offense 14-8.
Can the Green Bay Packers compete with the Arizona Cardinals? Yes, the Packers did compete with the Cardinals in the first half. As poorly as they played, they had a chance to go into halftime down by one score. Take away the two defensive scores and the two play 28 yard drive set up by a turnover, and you have a 17-8 game.
To compete on saturday, the Packers need to protect Rodgers and elminate the key turnovers. The offensive line should be healthier heading into the game. With a healthier line, the Packers should be able to have a better showing. With less pressure, the Packers can eliminate the turnovers.
