As we get rolling with our new Radio Neteork, Philmchology comes back on the air Saturdays starting October 11th at 7 PM Pacific time/ 8 PM Mountain Time/ 9 PM Central/ 10 PM Eastern. This month we will be looking at one of the horror movie great directors John Carpenter. Since we're only going to have a few weeks in October we'll stretch it on into November a few weeks as well to make sure to include his apocolypse trilogy. For now let's take a look at the most well known movie by the horror master himself and Debra Hill (God rest her soul): Halloween (Click on word for trailer)
Halloween changed our thoughts on horror when John Carpenter illuminated the fun, scary, then terrifying aspects of being a teenager on the scariest night of the year! Most of us can remember our first memories of Halloween. The excitement of dressing up with very simple costumes and the creepy plastic masks that left wet condensation on your face when you tried to breathe. Walking at night in the streets seeing friends from school was like a gigantic block party without all the parents (most of us has older siblings to take us about or they went with someone esle's older siblings) Halloween belonged to us kids and you had one objetive to get as many treats as you could carry. I would say candy, but back in the mid to late 1960's people still gave fruit, homemade popcorn balls, cookies, fudge etc. It used to be a night just as fun for the people giving out the treats as us who were receving them. John Carpenter and Debra Hill started a movement that reminded us horror doesn't have to take place in outter space it can be just as dangerous at home! Bring your po, punch & Join us!

Singer/songwriter Enric Sifa grew up in Rwanda and lived through the Rwandan Genocide. After losing his parents at the age of nine, Sifa lived on the streets struggling daily for food, shelter, and suffering from loneliness and abuse. To combat loneliness, he sang his mother’s songs and brought comfort to many other street kids. He became known on the streets for his extraordinary talent.
In 2002, Sifa met American business people Tony and Serena Morones who were working to develop Africa New Life Ministries. They helped him get off the street, attend school and gave him a guitar.
Soon after in 2004, he won a national singing competition that put him on Rwandan radio and TV. Sifa speaks and performs in Rwanda and the US, advocating for marginalized children. Many of Sifa’s songs are popular on Rwandan radio and he has released three albums in the United States. He now attends college in Portland, Oregon and hopes to pursue a career in conflict resolution and human rights advocacy.

Receving the gift of the Holy Spirit is like winning the lottery. What this means is that you have a wealth of resources to help you in any situation as you have favor with God. Having favor with God means you are divinely blessed. Not only blessed in this world but blessed to and through eternity. Why would others prefer to win the lottery instead of receiving the gift of the Holy Spirit? It is because they do not realize what a treasure they have with Christ being in them. Let's explore the abundance of riches we have in Christ Jesus and then we will yell "guess what I won the lottery"!
103 Bless the Lord, O my soul: and all that is within me, bless his holy name.
2 Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits:
3 Who forgiveth all thine iniquities; who healeth all thy diseases;
4 Who redeemeth thy life from destruction; who crowneth thee with lovingkindness and tender mercies;
5 Who satisfieth thy mouth with good things; so that thy youth is renewed like the eagle's.
WHAT'S YOUR EXPERIENCES WITH ASKING FOR SOMETHING AND RECEVING SOMETHING COMPLETELY DIFFERENT IN SUCH CASE PISSES US OFF!
I BELIEVE THE LAW OFF ATTRACTION ONLY WORKS IF YOU'RE ATTRACTIVE THAT'S WHY ITS CALLED THE LAW OF ATTRACTION I'VE NOTICE THAT LIGHT SKIN PEOPLE / EXOTIC PEOPLE WHO ARE MODELS, AND HAVE MORE PEOPLE FRIEND REQUESTION THEM ON FACEBOOK CAN AVOID UGLY ,WEIRD PEOPLE AND OLD PEOPLE OUT SIDE THE DATING POOL, THE AVOID BEING STALKED AND OFFTEN ARE GOOD IN TERMS OF MONEY . AND MANY TIMES ATTRACTIVE PEOPLE DO NOT FOLLOW STUPID AFIRMATION QUOTES LIKE MY ALL TIME FAVORITE THAT'S ALL TIED TO BEING ALONG (LOVE YOUR SELF) YOU WILL NEVER SEE A BEAUTIFUL PERSON IN A SELF HELP CLASS OR IN A MOMENT WHERE THERE DEPRESS,HEPLESS ,HOMELESS OR FELLING WORTHLESS ABOUT THEM SELVES.

WAITING2XHALE RADIO OUR GUEST SHAVAR BURCH!
Shavar Burch NY born, raised in Harlem , NY. It wasn't until age 13 that he and his family migrated to Long Island. He moved during his senior year in high school to Houston, Texas to play BASKETBALL at the Heritage Christian Academy. While attending, he averaged 19 points, 8 rebounds, and 5 assists per game. After playing just 3 games he was ranked 13th in the state of Texas. As his senior year was coming to an end he was receving offers to play basketball from Villanova, Georgetown, Colorado State, Mississippi State, and the University of Massachusetts, just to name a few. Unfortunately he wasn't able to meet a Division I, school academic standard so he signed with the San Jacinto Ravens in Pasadena, Texas. San Jacinto became the 2nd ranked team in the country. He then lead the team to the National Tournament where they finished 9th. After playing with the Ravens for two years, Shavar went on to attend Angelo State, a four year university and led the Rams to the National Tournament as well. Although he scored 29 points and had 10 rebounds, they lost in the 1st round. Entering his senior year he was named pre-season player of the year. Having a tough senior year, losing his mother and grandfather to cancer during that season he spent much of his time off the court and back home with his family. During this time he lost his passion to play basketball but he never lost the love for it. Now with that chapter of his life done...stay tune as Shavar elaborates further on HISSTORY
