At the root of human responsibility is the concept of perfect, the urge to achieve it, the intelligence to find a path towards it, and the will to follow that path, if not to the end at least the distance needed to rise above individual limitations and environmental impediments.--Aung San Sun Kyi

Each individual in fact has moral responsibility for the acts which he personally performs; no one can be exempted from this responsibility, and on the basis of it everyone will be judged by God himself.--Pope John Paul II ("Evangelium Vitae")

YPSC-Young People Serving Christ - With Malisha Williams - ELRC Inc

    in Christianity

These days serving Christ with sincerity in our youth is a rare thing. Young people that are doing Christian ministry in some form or fashion are only in the light because they like the notoriaty it gives to them. They like being told how well they danced or how well they gave spoken word on the bible, or how nice the poem is that they wrote or how well they sing or act or whatever applies. But it is never about God.

This robs God of His praise and HIs glory in the gift that He has given to them. If you are ministering in your youth and it doesn't matter how well you do whatever it is that you do. If it's ALL about you then God is NOT in it and your whole message becomes lost in translation.

But when people can see and feel your worship, and are moved to worship because of your worship or ministry... then you have delivered a good message, and God is well pleased. Young people who love God have a message too... just be sure that your message is not a mess. Let your ministry be God centered.

  • Stop Child Abuse Now (SCAN) - 1166

    in Self Help

Tonight's special guest is Kari Kelley from Sunnyvalle, CA, a child abuse survivor, advocate and author. Kari shares from her past childhood abuse how she learned to heal the core wound that was key in helping her move forward. Born in Southern California, Kari was conceived as a consequence of her mother being violently assaulted. Kari was adopted twice; once at 9 months old and again at 4 years old. Kari spent her life in this family being abused and neglected. Her experiences in these families left Kari wounded, battered and legally blind. Like so many others who have lived through similar situations, Kari spent years living as a victim until she discovered a deep inner strength and a purpose. She turned her childhood ordeal into an opportunity. She now inspires and assists people to overcome adversity in their own lives. Kari offers support through her Restore Your Resilience program which helps women overcome the struggle of being abused as children. She's been a featured speaker, author and vocalist on a wide variety of stages, panels, radio and TV shows across the United States. She has published her autobiography entitled "Black, Blind and Female." Kari is also featured in the May 2014 issue of Landmark Insights, about the creation, production and performance of her one woman show “Somebody Else's Child”.

WORLD WIDE AFRICA THE VOICE OF THE PAN AFRICAN MOVEMENT

    in Politics

On today August 29, 2015 in Armstrong Park there is a commemoration ceremony that I participated in for those lost in Hurricane Katrina.  It has been the most uplifting part of this day to see sisters pray together from every religion unified in the spirt of love.  This is what Huey struggled so hard to make us see that the spirt of BLACK People must transcend the petty differences in every aspect of life. That racism was a wrong way to live if you were BLACK, that we should not mimic the ways of white people. To hate for the sake of difference only, and creat an environment of hate based on those differences. These are his words and they are in reference to the attitude of one who tried to hijack the Panther Party.

"When a man is consistent, you at least know what is happening and what to expect.  Stokely says one thing one day and does another thing the next?.....Stokely told me he would support anyone he did not care who if the person were black.  We consider this viewpoint both racist and suicidal." We must learn self love and self respect for ourselves and project that attitude, not an attitude of RIGHT IS MIGHT. These are learned behaviors former slave holders gave us and we need to unlearn this. The idea that every Black Man is a thug or a criminal came from this projected idea and caused the death of many during Katrina who were shot by police and National guard troops. No other race of men has been labeled in such a way as to make the eyes of the world see us as bad people who do not deserve to live. And that is what happened to our people here in New Orleans. They sent 10 thousand body bags because the Government felt it would be easier to let people here die than to save them. It would be easier to seize their land and creat a New Orleans that did not include BLACK ETHNIC communities and rebuild as a White Utopia.

  • The Sad People - Isaiah 28-33 - How to Respond to Prophesy-Apostle E Cooper

    in Christianity

28:1) There will be a very sad dau in Ephraim! The Leaders of Ephraim are very proud but they are drunks. Ephrahim is like  abeautiful flower, but it will die. It will not always be beautiful. Ephraimis at the top of a velly whre there are good plants. But wine causes its people to fall over...

Sometimes when God send a word of warning and judgement to His people the word is heard by the people as foolish and they receive it as a person who is drunk on alcohol and it does not make sense to them. But God is not speaking to a drunk people but a people who are sober and ready to hear His word unlike the days of old. Be sober band be vigilant ...

What a busy week for all things Convention of States this has been, and next week promises to get even busier!  And that's good news for patriots around the nation, and for those who hunger to see our federal government restored to functioning as a Constitutional Republic!

We'll cover this week's news as briefly as possible, and we'll preview the upcoming COS activity.

Our presentation will be concentrating on the Framers' (those delegates at the Constitutional Convention) own words in describing the State's authority in exercising their unilateral method of amending he Constitution.  We'll investigate not only Madison's own words, but also Hamilton and George Washington.

And, we'll try to leave time for your phone calls.

    Hosted By: Lesa Marie Belle

As we go about our everyday lives, we encounter highs, lows, joy, sadness and various emotions as the world has a tendency to beat us up and bring us joy all at the same time.  Some of us will take the good with the bad & keep it moving. We get home and if we're lucky we have someone to vent to and discuss our hectic day with. So many of us are going through trials and tribulations, health issues, financial troubles, living from paycheck to paycheck, or with no check.   We' re faced with heartache, disappointment, loneliness, anger, and all too often we aren't able to easily shake it off or to talk about it with someone. We keep issues bottled up, maybe because we don't feel comfortable with sharing with others or we fear judgment for the issues we have or the things we're going through. Do you find yourself looking to the heavens and asking " Why me God?"  We've all been there and we all need to be restored! We're seeking answers and questioning "What is going on?"  Mind, body, soul & spirit need restoration.  Lord, please come by here and restore our minds, bodies, souls and spirits.

    Peace & Blessings,

    Lesa M. Belle
