Rachel Dolezal has brought a term to her pretending to be black controversy which caused her to have to resign her new position as leader of the NAACP in Spokane Washington. She has used the term Trans-Racial and speaks about her identity in similar terms as a transgender person does. She speaks of at the age of 5 years old coloring with the brown crayon instead of the peach crayon. She says that she "identifies" herself as a black woman and not a white woman.
So what is trans-racial?
Is this a real term? Or did Ms. Dolezal just make it up?
Can a Black person identify with being white even if they are very dark skinned?
What are your thoughts on Rachel Dolezal?
We will discuss this and more on tonight's topic!

This tragic incident compelled her to write her fact-based, educational memoir entitled, An Amazing Mind.
Johnson spearheaded and ignited the asking for Rachel Dolezal's resignation.Johnson set up an online petition through the website MoveOn.Org and has received more than 200 signatures as of Sunday night."We don't care what race she is, but when you are leader, it doesn't even matter if you've made a mistake but the fact that you will not respond to the people, that you won't issue an apology,” Johnson said. “Come clean.”So you mean to tell me that your going to lie within a lie and say you don't understand the question,” Johnson said. “And you don't know if you're African American or not because she had been proudly professing that."Johnson said that's also why she is concerned with the position taken by the national NAACP. Last week, the organization released a statement that said in part: “The NAACP Alaska-Oregon-Washington State Conference stands behind Ms. Dolezal's advocacy record.”Johnson said that record has been based on lies.“I've asked people to boycott the NAACP, do not go to meetings, do not pay membership until they reconsider the decision to back a person they consider a leader, because we don't,” Johnson said..

The race of one of the most prominent faces in Spokane, Washington, Rachel Dolezal, has come under heavy community and media fire. Rachel Dolezal, who has identified herself as African American, is under question after her estranged mother claimed she is white, and born to two Caucasian parents.
The questions to be addressed on this episode of Hot Topics Talk Radio:
Does it matter that the head of the NAACP Spokane Chapter is white?
Why wasn’t Dolezal honest about her heritage/race?
Should she be removed from her post as president of the Spokane Chapter?
Is it more acceptable for whites to pass as blacks, than blacks passing as white?
… and more.
