The inferiority of historically celebrated one dimensional quarter backs such Johnny Unitas, Bart Starr, Sony Jurgensen, Len Dawson, Fran Tarkenson, Daryle Lamonica, Y.A. Tittle, Otto Graham is clearly illuminated when compared to highly skilled two dimensional quarter backs like Michael Vick, Vince Young, Robert Griffin lll, Randal Cunningham, Warren Moon, Johnny Manziel- Johnny Football and the greatest of all who was never given an opportunity to play quarterback in the NFL was FREDDIE SOLOMON.
When comparing the game film of two dimensional quarter backs to game film of one-dimensional quarter backs the difference in talent is MONUMENTAL. Imagine if Michael Vick was allowed to play on the same team when Sony Jurgensen played. People would still be talking about how Vick averaged 500 yards rushing and 500 yards passing--- every game. Now imagine Freddie Solomon! You can not! He was not allowed to play quarter back because he simply was black. Now imagine Professional Boxing without…MOHAMMAD ALI! See what you missed!
This hypothesis would have been a historical fact (like the unbelievable Mohammad Ali) but for the intentional discrimination and denial of two dimensional quarter backs to play quarter back in the NFL. The only rationale for this denial was because their skin color was black. In reality white owners knew for a certainty that white quarter backs could not make the cut.

The precursor to African American History Month was created in 1926 in the United States, when historian Dr Carter G. Woodson and the Association for the Study of Negro Life and History announced the second week of February to be "Negro History Week. This week was chosen because it marked the birthday of both Abraham Lincoln and Frederick Douglass.
He noted that African-American contributions "were overlooked, ignored, and even suppressed by the writers of history textbooks and the teachers who use them." Race prejudice, he concluded, "is merely the logical result of tradition, the inevitable outcome of thorough instruction to the effect that the Negro has never contributed anything to the progress of mankind Wikipedia

Join Host Joe Lisi (former ABC Sports college football researcher) as he speaks with former UW and NFL S Tony Parrish.
Parrish was a standout safety for the University of Washington and was a lethal hitter in one of the best secondaries in the NCAA. Parrish was a dominating safety who loved to come up in run support and dominate opposing ball carriers. He was excellent in pass coverage as well and took great angles in cutting down the field against opposing quarterbacks. He was the team captain of the 1997 team and became a 2nd round draft pick in the 1998 NFL Draft (35th overall) by the Chicago Bears.
Parrish had an outstanding career in the NFL and had 634 total tackles with 5 sacks and 30 interceptions.
Parrish was a workout warrior who was the strongest safety in the league during his tenure. Parrish was a complete safety and able to force opposing offenses to change their game plan because of his attacking style of play.
Parrish played for the Bears (1998-2001), 49'ers (2002-2006) and the Cowboys (2006). He recently played in the Legends of Candlestick Park event on Jul 12th and returned an interception from Dan Marino for a touchdown.
