"Marchless Madness" - COCKTAIL CONVERSATIONS with The Controversial Counselor

    in Relationships

Welcome and Thank you for listening to COCKTAIL CONVERSATIONS on KLJN Radio.

Who handles rejections better?  Men or women? Such as being sexually declined or denying someone an opportunity for a date.

On this episode of COCKTAIL CONVERSATION...We will analyze scenario #4 Marchless Madness

Giovanna met Floyd at the CIAA tournament last year and things became hot and heavy - mainly a lot of steamy getting self-acquainted conversations happened over the past year.

Giovanna planned to visit Floyd and had everything mapped out on how she would take him to this euphoric state and make him her man despite the distance between them.  Secretly, she wanted a change and would entertain relocating from Virginia to North Carolina.

The time has arrived for her to go to North Carolina and she made a trip to Frederick’s to seal the deal. When she arrived, Floyd left a key under his rug mat for Giovanna; she prepared some finger foods and made some grand marnier chocolate covered strawberries so the table was set or it sounds like she was trying to get set on the table.

Well when Floyd arrived and Giovanna was lying across the couch, leaving nothing for his imagination.  He looked at her and said I know you don’t expect anything to go down tonight? Giovanna was so pissed she got dressed and left within thirty minutes and headed back to Virginia at 10:00 p.m., a five-hour ride. How would you handle this situation?

    in Radio

Welcome To COCKTAIL CONVERSATIONS on KLJN 107.7 with The Controversial Counselor, David Glover.  This is Scenario # 18 Fight or Flight from the book COCKTAIL CONVERSATIONS:

Darvin was a dedicated dad and always stuck to his commitment of getting his four-year-old daughter Alisa. At times, Darvin and Alisa’s mother, Camille, had a rocky relationship because of mistakes they both made in the past, but never was he prepared for what Camille has in store for him.

It was Darvin’s weekend to pick up Alisa. When he went by Camille’s house, the place looked vacant, so off to Alisa’s grandmother’s house; and when she answered the door, she seemed to be cold with her statement “they’re not here” and shut the door. Darvin was confused; it’s not like Camille to not to contact him regarding Alisa. Darvin left several messages on Camille’s phone but no answer.

A week went by but he still has not heard from Camille or Alisa. Darvin was a wreck at work and spent his spare time crying at home. Darvin’s mother and his sister called Alisa’s grandmother and asked her “what the hell is going on.” Darvin has been too good to the baby for him to be treated like this; finally Alisa’s grandmother admits that Camille and Alisa have left the state and relocated to St. Louis.

When Darvin’s mother called to tell him the deal, Darvin burst out in tears; he was devastated, he just felt like dying. What will he do without his daughter, and what could possibly be the justification for Camille to leave?

    in Relationships

Till Death Do us part? What does that really mean to you, I would like to break down a scenario Called Take it to the Grave

Leroy a 62 yr old had been married to Deborah for 42 years and they have been together since teenagers, she was truly his soul mate, the apple of his eye, the love of his life.

She died a few years ago due to breast cancer which was obviously very heart breaking to lose your wife, lover, best friend, and right hand. Leroy never thought he would considerremarrying but no one wants to live alone as they age and reach the 3rd phase of their life.

Leroy started dating Freda and eventually they got married a year later, Leroy made it very clear throughout their courtship, that Deborah will always be the love of his life and no one can ever replace her in his heart. In fact his one request would be if he passes before Freda that he would like to be buried right next to Deborah.

Freda honored his request because he passed away a year in to his marriage with Freda. Do you think that Leroy was wrong for putting his feelings out there regarding his first wife? If you were Freda would you had signed up for that deal?

Lunch Date or No Date - COCKTAIL CONVERSATIONS with The Controversial Counselor

    in Radio

Men are we looking for better or will we continue to step to women that we perceived are weak. When you ask a woman out for dinner and she tells you that you can do lunch? Would your pride be hurt? Lets look at this particular scenario and analyze what happened on this lunch date.

    Lunch Date or No Date
Joseph ended up meeting Lanita out for lunch,he figured that having lunch is better than nothing at all, well what he didn't realize was she was not any ordinary female, when I say he got screened and interviewed, she did just that right after the typical "how was your day?" "blah blah blah."

She reached into her purse and pulled out a pad and pen and started with the question of why does he deserve her valuable time and went on to ask question after question. There were many outcomes that came out of this interview.

    1. During the conversation it came to light that he was involved with someone that he had been with for years.
    2. Never step to a beautiful, strong, intelligent woman unless you are coming correct.
    3. She would never put herself in a vulnerable position to let someone play with her heart.
    4. She does have an attraction for him or she would not have given him the platform for lunch.
    5. There will not be any dinner date for him unless his status changes, or she lowers her standards and that will not be happening.
    6. They concluded the afternoon with a hug, and from what Joseph stated that hug felt so right and he will not be walking away anytime soon.

What do you make of all of this and what does Joseph need to do to get Lanita out of his system?

THE TEACHINGS OF SILVANUS PART 5 = Examine Your Counselor

    in Religion

Have a great number of friends, but not counselors. First, examine your counselor, for do not honor anyone who flatters. Their word, to be sure, is sweet as honey, but their heart is full of hellebore. For whenever they think that they have become a reliable friend, then they will deceitfully turn against you, and they will cast you down into the mire.

Do not trust anyone as a friend, for this whole world has come into being deceitfully, and every man is troubled in vain. All things of the world are not profitable, but they happen in vain. There is no one, not even a brother (who is trustworthy), since each one is seeking his own advantage.

My son, do not have anyone as a friend, but if you do acquire one, do not entrust yourself to him. Entrust yourself to God alone as father and as friend. For everyone proceeds deceitfully, while the whole earth is full of suffering and pain - things in which there is no profit. If you wish to pass your life in quiet, do not keep company with anyone. And if you do keep company with them, be as if you do not. Be pleasing to God, and you will not need anyone.

Live with Christ and he will save you. For he is the true light and the sun of life. For just as the sun which is visible and makes light for the eyes of the flesh, so Christ illuminates every mind and the heart. For (if) a wicked man (who is) in the body (has) an evil death, how much more so (does) he who has his mind blind. For every blind man goes along in such a way that he is seen just as one who does not have his mind sane. He does not delight in acquiring the light of Christ, which is reason.
