WHAT SUCCESSFUL URBAN SCHOOLS DO! EXPERTS SHARE BEST PRACTICES

    in Education

    Show overview:

A discussion with Ms. Linda Harris, Mr. Patrick Jones and Mr. James Taylor. Show title "What Successful Urban Schools Do! Experts Share Best Practices.

NCEBC wants to welcome the full village to question, understand, and ask questions, about governance, educational policy, finances,  resources, and  the basic democratic principles of equity, fairness, and justice. It is important (if not, vital) that we have this conversation to continue to dispel the myth that black children are incapable of achieving high test scores,  therefore public schools are incapable of providing quality education.

"We believe in accountability. We believe that data drives decision-making. We believe in research-based practices. These principles have been used for generations by high performing schools, principals and Superintendents; especially those working and succeeding in urban communities were poverty and race are the dominant elements. This conversation is about the politics, power, economics, and restructuring of a public school system into a charter school system."

Diana Daniels, Executive Director, National Council on Educating Black Children

Questioning the Quality of Spiritual Practices & Vital Missing Links

    in Spirituality

Beginning our new year and formulating a track for our attainment is something to talk about and consider precisely what options lay before us as well as accessing their viability.

Today's show starts a conversation with intention being realistically aligned with results orientation. Such an approach will begin a more powerful inquiry that will lead us to empowering ourselves with more coherent objectives.

What a great way to start the year as we review our progress.  Whithout a clear analysis, we tend to slide into accepting what is and NOT demanding better more potent answers and outcomes.

We will begin with a smart move that deals with what we've got on one had as compared to what we NEED to actually have on the other hand.

Thus, we'll be consisdering how useless ritualized journeys have demonstrated a notable lack in obtaining spiritual objectives, we can honestly say for the most part, current spiritual practices are not actually productive for the Soul.

This is essentially a track of trying to reach enlightenment through some dead guru's teaching that was initiated over thousands of years ago.

Ironically, they have proven to keep the Soul in a loop of trying, hoping, and idealizing a future achievement of the spiritual kind. Yet, the track record of manifesting the desired outcome is pitifully lacking.

Even current icons of holy knowledge, such as the Dalai Lama offer us inspiriation, they themselves acknowledge are still seeking for the outcome they are alluding to that exists. It is yet their goal, too.

This is not a great situation for us. Clearly, while the intentions are inspiring, hopeful, and ultimately desirous, they are elusive as attainable here and now. Is this sufficient? Is this fulfilling enough to be acceptable as all there is.
