For this another episode of my show. I have a special guest who goes by the name of Porscha Coleman who is actress, singer, dancer, and TV host, who is best known for her guest starring television role as Erica Willis on the UPN series, The Parkers, Rachel in the Disney Channel Original Movie, Pixel Perfect, and on MTV's show Wild 'n Out. Also she had hosting on 106 & Park, Spring Bling, and BET: Notarized, and much more.
This episode we take the time to chat with Jeremy Coleman, natural pro, who basically does shows when he feels ready, not when he thinks it would be popular or attention getting. He has set foot onto the NPC stages and stepped off a winner. Lets find out more together as to what drives this man of mystery.

Meeting Trina Bass Coleman in Church was no surprise. That is what her life has been, truth be told. Mom was a respected choral director and Dad: a singer/songwriter. Performance was second nature to little Trina. Choirs, bands, anything to do with Church - the worship aspect of those public outpourings of song is something that has never left her.
This young lady is truly something. A singer on keys, flute and sometimes ukulele - a songwriter of unique strength - and an educator. Add to the mix of those talents these facts: there is a sweet mix of cultures in Trina. There was classical training in her upbringing. She grasps a wide array of genres because that's her world. Especially when Sojourne was formed a few years ago. Gospel, Soul, Classical were already in place. Enter husband, Zachary, who plays guitar in the group. His focus is on Rock and Blues. Drummer Stephen McGrath brings Jazz to the mix - funky or understated. Tim Long is the earthy force behind bass. You mix the dynamic fusion of these sincere musicians and you have a VERY different sound.
We'll be playing three tracks from "These Seeds" - a new work from Sojourne. And the first thought that will come to your mind is that you have no comparison to make. That's what people usually do. "Oh - that sounds like (fill in the blank)." You honestly cannot do that with Sojourne because of the Melting Pot effect. And each song will take you in a different direction! You can't put your finger on any one genre that is dominant over the other here - what strikes you is that Trina's empassioned voice takes you somewhere that you haven't traveled. In actuality, Sojourn means "temporary stay." It conjures exotic images. You may want to stay longer :) Join us on 10/13.
Josh Coleman of 3SOB.com joins me as we analyze the Memphis offseason and project their 2016 season. We talk the importance of Marc Gasol and Mike Conley, and debate if an overhaul might be in order. Don't miss it!

Ryan Rocks It! with friend Colie Brice Monday, November 23 RD at 5:30 PM. I have known this awesome and multi talented Man for many years now. I first heard Colie perform with Jason Lusardi aka Jay Walker, bass player. Colie and Jay played together for many years in Colie's band "Folie Brice New Age Blues Experience". I like this qote of Colie's, "Experiences Compose the Symphony of Life", so true. Colie has recorded over 30 something albums, some on mjajor labels with big budgets, others recorded at home DY style on indie labels. Recording highlights range from three elaborately produced albums with Phantom's Opera which at on etime featured Michael Romeo (Symphony X) and later Karl Cochran of Ace Frehley (KISS) and Joe Lynn Turner's (Rainbow, Deep Purple, Yngwie Malmsteen). Colie will tell you that he was stubbornly persistent in pursuing a big time music carer, but after tripping out at a Grateful Dead Show, he started pursuing a more personal creative direction he called the "LUNA MUSE" principle and started branding his own kind of music he loosely called New Age Blues. To that end, in 1997, Colie's Solo debut New Age Blues was accepted in teh 40 TH Annyual Gramy Nomination Entry List in several cataegories including Top Instrumental for "17G (Tribute to Jerry."
As a stage musician, Colie has performed at diverse venues ranging from The Stone Pony in Asbury Park, to the Roxy Theater in Hollywood, California and many points inbetween. Colie shared the bill with an scletic variety of notable acts such as Dick Dale, Layonne Homes ( Jon Bon Jovi Solo Band), Juggling Suns, Tony Levin, Dick Manitoba, Marshall Tucker, Skid Row, Jill Sobule and Southside and the Asbury Jukes among many others.
