Hosted by Maureen Sullivan who is both a Registered Nurse and a standup comic, The Health and Humor show combines information and education on getting and staying healthy with humorous stories and news items. The audio quality is a bit better than the first show, but still nothing to be proud of...we are still working on it!
Our apoligies for the audio quality of this broadcast. It is the first show and we obviously need to work on our settings! The next one should be much better! Hosted by Maureen Sullivan who is both a Registered Nurse and a standup comic, The Health and Humor show combines information and education on getting and staying healthy with humorous stories and news items.

Arnold Glasgow calls laughter the “tranquilizer with no side effects.” Laughter therapy is appearing on the scene in many medical facilities as people recognize the healing properties attendant with a good belly laugh. Laughter has been called the “shock absorber that eases the blows of life.” Join us as we discuss the benefits of humor and joviality in trauma healing and have a good laugh or two along the way, this THURSDAY at 7:30 p.m. on Beyond Abuse Radio.

Laughter can be a powerful tool in the aging process. And the most wonderful thing about it, is that it it's free and available to everyone.
Society tends to regard humor as frivolous, however, few activities are as mentally demanding and intellectually stimulating as humor. Humor helps you develop perspective and not take yourself too seriously.
This show discusses some of the very concret health benefits of humor.

Join me for this program to learn how to emply this anti aging tool in your everyday life.
Tonight, in a special podcast edition of Political Gravity, your host Jane Hoffman talks about her struggles living far away from familiar territory. She will also cover the ins and outs of the recent snit fight in Congress. (Does it even matter at this point, though?)
It's an abbreviated show, however we still have NPR news, weather.com 3-day forecast, and tons of great music throughout, so take a seat and join us!
Remember his program on Political Toxicity last year? Well, it's back in a whole new way and David is back to remind us that political toxicity is really a form of hiding; hiding from what you ask? David is ready with the answer. David Taylor-Klaus deliberately approaches the many important roles in his life with intention and attention. He is ... A Husband, Father & Friend. A Coach, Mentor & Speaker. A Serial Entrepreneur, Strategist & Visionary. A Wine Collector, Avid Cyclist & Gold-medal Rower. In every walk of life, he is a lifelong learner. David’s personal and professional worlds clearly reflect a journey in pursuit of excellence, always with a great deal of humor and heart. He is known for his sharp intellect and incisive ability to see what others do not. He balances fierce candor with a warm heart … a style described as “an iron fist in a velvet glove.”
Laughter is not as far from tears as you might expect. In order to laugh, we have to be connected to our feelings. Being able to cry means we are able to laugh as well. The more we allow ourselves to be emotionally present the more we can enjoy all the fullness of life. Laughter feels good and can bring us great release. This week on Beyond Abuse Radio we will talk about the healing experiences of laughter and imbibe in some of the greatest medicine known to man.
