LIVE Reading of The Tell-Tale Heart by Edgar Allan Poe on "Dear Prudence" Radio

    in Self Help

"TRUE! --nervous --very, very dreadfully nervous I had been and am; but why will you say that I am mad? The disease had sharpened my senses --not destroyed --not dulled them. Above all was the sense of hearing acute. I heard all things in the heaven and in the earth. I heard many things in hell. How, then, am I mad? Hearken! and observe how healthily --how calmly I can tell you the whole story."  Edgar Allan Poe, 1848  http://amzn.to/1GDN9MK

    All Atheists Have a Voice

    in Atheism

"All religion, my friend, is simply evolved out of fraud, fear, greed  imagination and poetry". Edgar Allen Poe    NO ATHEIST should be afraid to say "I AM AN ATHEIST." I tallk to atheists all over the world that have a difficult time "coming out" as an atheist. Some will be murdered if they do. Others would be shunned or disowned by their families. Even in th USA it is illegal in some states for atheists to hold office. This is a crime. We need to stick together and we need to help others like ourselves to embrace their atheism. We ask atheists to tell their personal stories of how they came to atheism and how they deal with the blowback of tryihng to be open about their atheism. Our stories can help others make that leap of unfaith.

AMH Radio Conjures Up Ghost of Edgar Allan Poe with Kristy Robinett

    in Paranormal

Kristy Robinett is a professional psychic medium and author who began seeing spirits at the age of three. When she was eight, the spirit of her deceased grandfather helped her escape from a would-be kidnapper, and it was then that Robinett realized the Other Side wasn't so far away and could be of immense importance to the living.

When Kristy was thirteen, she met the most fascinating spirit guide of all, Edgar Allan Poe. Forevermore tells the true story of how the spirit of Edgar Allan Poe helps Kristy fulfill her destiny as a writer and a psychic medium.

Far from being the madman he is often portrayed in the media, Poe is an insightful guide and a sleuth with a passion for justice. Working with law enforcement, Kristy and Poe uncover truths of the past--murders, suicides, missing persons--and shed light on the wrongs that have found their way into the present day.

In addition to writing and serving clients as a psychic medium, an adult, Robinett has often been called upon by law enforcement to examine cold cases in a new light and from a different angle, including the 2004 murder of Ashley Howley, which Kristy helped solve bringing closure to Howley's traumatized family. This amazing story was portrayed in Investigation Discovery's Restless Souls, which premiered in 2014.

Robinett teaches psychic development and paranormal investigating at local colleges near her Michigan home, lectures across the country, and is a regular media commentator. She is the author of It's a Wonderful AfterLife; Messenger Between Worlds: True Stories from a Psychic Medium; Intuitions Oracle; Ghosts of Southeast Michigan; and Michigan's Haunted Legends and Lore.

Personal Empowerment with Arwyn Lynch Poe

    in Spirituality

Jean Maurie and Maggie Lukowski are excited to be talking with Arwyn Lynch Poe on February 6, 2014 at 1pm EST. Arwen began reading the Tarot in 1980 when a friend handed her the Thoth deck. She didn’t really like the Thoth deck then (her opinion has changed since) so moved on to the Herbal Tarot which she still has in her collection of over 150 Tarot and Oracle decks.

Her fascination with this introspective divination system grew (right along with her bookstore bill.) While reading for friends what she learned surprised her and her friends as she began to open up on intuitively.

Tarot By Arwen was launched in 2002. She became the president of the American Tarot Association in 2007.

One of her passions is helping writers write. As Marilu Mann, she has 9 books published as of 2013 with 2 more under contract.

Her interests are  eclectic but her approach to the Tarot is on a Jungian basis.  Instead of doing strictly divination-based readings, Arwen attempts to deliver readings that gently guide you to taking charge of your own life and making your own decisions. Her goal is to help you find your joy and keep it.

She is likes looking at Tarot to looking at a road map. “If the map says bridge out ahead, what fool is going to keep driving?” is something her clients know by heart. Self-responsibility is the key to getting the most from a reading with Arwen.

When you sit down with Arwen in person or via Skype, you can expect to laugh and maybe cry. Her compassionate readings will help you see things that you need to embrace as well as things you need to work on.
