With the Los Angeles Lakers on a three game losing streak, and a scary road ahead on this holiday week, join host Corey Hansford as he looks at the positives and negatives of Kobe Bryant this season, and whether or not Byron Scott is using him properly. Should Kobe sit out games for rest purposes? Who could step up if he's not in the lineup? We'll also have the latest on recently released Josh Smith and the Lakers' chances at bringing him in. All that as we lead up to the Lakers matchup against the team with the NBA's best record, the Golden State Warriors, and, as always, your calls, on the latest edition of Bleed Purple & Gold Radio from LakersNation.
Join us this Sunday as we have a very special show planned. This week we welcome back to the show Prof. Malcolm Cash from The Ohio State University. We will have our very first debate show. We will debate "Is Kobe Bryant A Top 5 NBA Player Of All TIme?" Prof. Cash will argue that not only is Kobe not a top 5 player but not even a top 10 player. I on the other hand will argue that he is and prove why I feel the way I do. This will be like a Saturday morning at the barbershop. So make sure you tell your friends and family. And we look forward to hearing for you all as well. Our call in number is 619-393-2813
The Los Angeles Lakers are off to their worst start in franchise history starting the 2014-15 season at 1-9. Kobe Bryant, who returned this season from injuries that kept him out for the majority of last season, has performed mightily but is in a situation nowhere close to warranting any success in these final years of his career.
Martin offers a fresh perspective and new theory on what Kobe might consider should he hit the wall and say enough is enough. Journalists and media (and Tyler, who said back in August that the Lakers ought to send Kobe over to the New York Knicks) like to speculate the trade possibilities involving Bryant, but the loyalty between the Lakers and Kobe is paramount. At this rate, it is perfectly clear that his NBA career will end in a Laker uniform.
But what if Kobe didn't end his career in the NBA? Take a listen to Martin's theory. Tweet us @BBallsociety_ or Martin @marley_mcfly on Twitter and gives us your thoughts.
Tonight we go over a couple of the more interesting stories in the NBA, starting with Derrick Rose's health and Kobe Bryant's level of play over the first few weeks of the season. In coollege basketball, numerous interesting games took place today, with the Champions Classic featuring Duke-Michigan State and Kentucky-Kansas.
We'll recap those two games, talk a little about each of those four teams and run through some of the other top-25 games in college basketball. Can Wichita State win another 35-plus games this season?
Kobe Bryant and the Los Angeles Lakers are used to contending for championships, but through five games the team is tied with the Philadelphia 76ers (0-6) for the fewest wins in the league -- zero.
Bryant’s disdain for losing and the struggles of the Lakers prompted an interesting question: Would the Lakers and Knicks benefit from a trade involving Bryant?
New York has Phil Jackson, the Triangle offense and cap space to absorb Bryant’s contract and the Lakers aren’t going to contend this season with or without the team’s longtime superstar.
Conversely, the Houston Rockets were undefeated until Saturday night after some experts believed the team would take a step back with the loss of Chandler Parsons and free agency addition of Trevor Ariza.
In the Eastern Conference, the Cleveland Cavaliers have gotten off to a slow start (2-3) and not dominated out of the gate as many predicted.
With that in mind, Michael Scotto of SheridanHoops joined Yahoo! Sports Radio to discuss the struggles of the Lakers and Cavaliers, the rumors surrounding Bryant and how James Harden and Dwight Howard have carried the Rockets.

"I have been in the medical field for over 40 years and I explain to people that our sexual energy is vital part of our life force. It adds years to our life and also to our physical health. To be disconnected from it in any way is to cut yourself off from your own “Fountain of Youth”. I am a Certified Tantra Educator from the Source School of Tantra based in California. All of my tools and training were obtained by my own direct experiences with my teachers there."
"People come to Tantra for many reasons, to heal old hurts that have happened in previous relationships, to become better lovers with their current partners, or to expand their knowledge when calling in new relationships and certainly to develop better communication skills on this topic."

Steph has the run down on the team, the team's dreams and the latest scoop on rumors, trades, I can't believe she's a woman, however - women are taking the driver's seat on every opportunity they can get, and that is obvious here with THE LAKER GURL. 347-205-9366 is the way to reach her every Sunday. Ain't NO DOUBT ABOUT IT - this is one of the favorite shows on the JKN. I asked her why she wasn't a CLIPPER GURL and she looked at me as if to say, that position is open, do I want it? Of course not. Okay, LAKER GURL - you got it! #WWLG4L

Kobe Bryant, Lebron James, Alex Rodriguez, oh my. Life as a superstar isn't always that rosy and for those 3 superstars of their respective sports, these days aren't very rosy. The Black Mamba and his Los Angeles Lakers are 0-5 to begin the season Lebron and his Cleveland Cavaliers are 1-3 so far. ARod took his disgraced career to the next level by admitting the obvious. What's next? A plane flying overhead with a sign that says, "Fire John Idzik"? Oh wait, that actually happened, too. The core show panelists are going to try to put all of this craziness into some kind of perspective. Enjoy!
